anyone know the dosage for these thiggs? the doctor just gave me a bunch of sample bottles i got no clue what im supposed to do with them...

Guest ~jules~

I love it when they do that! OOOOH nice  I took achipex when all this started also in sample form, from what I can remember you just take one in the morning. If you miss a dose just wait until the next morning don't take it when you remember then again like 5 hours later.... Hang in there.....julie Are you having reflux? Why are you taking aciphex? If you have acid reflux, I take prevacid its really good stuff.

Lister Rising Star

nope no acidreflux he just thinks it will help my stomc

I would take one in the morning with food. If you need additional relief in the evening you may take a pepsid, but no more. In a few days you you feel the relief if reflux is the problem.

This stuff is sooo expensive. Does anyone know of a company that makes a gluten-free generic ppi?

jaten Enthusiast

I take one every a.m. I'll have to try to remember, but there was a reason my GI and physician wanted me on Aciphex vs prevacid or something less expensive. yes, Aciphex is $$ but it's good stuff.

I put on over 12kg by eating protein with every meal, 3 to 5 times a day. Eggs, Chicken, Tuna, Turkey etc. I stay away from too much red meat as it can be inflammatory. Scott is correct. I've come across a bunch of Coeliac PT's on Tiktok and Instagram. They all say the same thing, the key is getting enough protein and consistency.

It's great to hear that eliminating gluten has helped alleviate symptoms like eye burning, which is a significant and positive change. The first and most important step is to ensure you're consuming enough protein throughout the day to support muscle repair and growth, which can be challenging with a busy schedule. Since you're already physically active at work, adding focused strength training just 2-3 times per week can make a major difference. Bodyweight exercises like squats, push-ups (modified if needed), and lunges, or using resistance bands at home, are excellent, efficient places to start. Remember, consistency with these short sessions and prioritizing post-workout recovery, including good sleep and hydration, are just as crucial as the workouts themselves. It's a smart, gradual process at any age.

Trader Joe's carries a good variety of affordable gluten-free foods like bagels, hamburger buns, pasta, etc. I like Franz Gluten Free bread, which is available at my local Costco. Food For Life and Little Northern Bakehouse (advertisers here) also make excellent gluten-free breads. Costco also sells gluten-free pizzas, crackers, gravy, etc.
