Doggy thoughts were excellent

Um..........is it the \\\'roids? I thought they were supposed to make you HYPER and have energy (that\\\'s what happened the only other time I took them, and I got manic  )

Yeah - they did with hubby but I think it depends how high your dose is.

Has the swelling gone down??? (said the actress to the bishop)

There was one particular ferry to France on a choppy sea that I for one shall NEVER forget

A young man was considering marriage and was talking with his girl friend\\\'s father about it.

He says, \\\"I\\\'m in love with your daughter, and want to ask for her hand in marriage.\\\"

Her father says, \\\"I feel that I must tell you that my daughter has acute angina.\\\"

He says, \\\"Oh good, \\\'cuz she has no tits at all!\\\"

OMGawd Nikki--thats horrible :angry::(

A number of years ago, Mark was the victim of identity theft. Someone got access to his personal information and opened an account in his name and proceeded to spend 10 grand in one day in the NYC area.

Lucky for us, the bank (who he at one time did have an account with) noticed the address they gave and the spending and alerted Mark.

Good luck sorting it all out :)

Heinous thieves

What the heck is going on!! How are we ever going to catch up to the OMG thread if you guys insist on spending the weekend with your families or outside!?!? Where's your dedication to the cause? C'mon! The kids'll be around for years, they can wait.

They are spongy I guess---the closest thing to it would probably be angel food cake, with a fluffy white filling. To describe it, it doesn't sound that exciting, but some people are addicted to those things  It's like one of those warm fuzzies from childhood memories. :D

Gnich, twinkies barely have the texture of food. Like a cross betw sponge cake & cotton candy. And creamy artificial filling in every bite.

So naturally, we loved 'em!

Vvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrry squishy too - just keep pushing and one bite is the ONly bite.

. . . and if you happen to find one that was misplaced during your childhood . . . it's still good . . . they never go bad!!

I was a fan of DingDongs myself. Yet when I've had them as an adult (last time, two years ago) I've always been dissappointed. Don't know if they changed it or if my palate has matured . . . would be the only thing that has matured.

Where's Emily??? We need some doggie details!!! I think just leave the name Chelsie for a while . . . it will evolve into something else naturally . . . always does. Chelsie to Elsie to Ellie to Ellie Belly to Belly Dog. OK, just call her BellyDog.

Jestgar Rising Star

Ah, this is why I don't know

MoonPies are sold across the South...
curlyfries Contributor
What is a moon pie??

Well, let's see.....A big blob of marshmallow cream squished between two large flat vanilla cookies, then covered in a chocolate or banana or vanilla coating. Yummmm :P Banana was my favorite!!!

I spent my early childhood in Florida, (that's probably where I discovered them) but they are available in Indiana, too.

BTW, looks like I need to have an avatar of my pets. I have a beautiful shepherd-chow mix named Zeus. Don't let the name fool you...he's the biggest wus you've ever seen. Among other things, he is scared to death of football games on TV b/c everybody gets excited and yells. As soon as he hears the pre-game commentators, he starts panting and goes into hiding

 Zeus will fit right in with our motley crew here, bipeds and otherwise.

well.......sorry to burst YER bubble, Lisa......it's not much to do w/ drinking fluids.......more of an unexpected onslaught of fluids. Plumbing leak, floods, someone wetting the bed, dog peeing on the floor, lots of snot/mucous.........we always just say that you should have your tarps handy......

Emily has a SUPERB ginger cat!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

She does indeed. Ummm........have we heard about this cat before? I cna't remember.......

Yes, very artificial, which is highly desired in a childhood junk snack.

....with more air :P

air, chemicals, fluff, many many more artificial ingredients. I, too liked the DingDongs and HoHo's in childhood.......had some a few years ago and they just tasted nasty - - just PURE chemicals nad nothing good.....

Where's Emily??? We need some doggie details!!! I think just leave the name Chelsie for a while . . . it will evolve into something else naturally . . . always does. Chelsie to Elsie to Ellie to Ellie Belly to Belly Dog. OK, just call her BellyDog.

[/quote

....not on a flood plain...no little ones at home, and I don't think DH or I will be having any bed-wetting or major snot/mucous issues that we can't handle....so that brings me down to about a 40% chance of a "fluid onslaught" <_< ...I guess I can live with that

Hi I've been told I need a MRI on my bowels , I was booked for a colonoscopy, but because of my sever back issues and trapped nerve it can't be done , the nurse told me I will have to have a manitol drink a hour before the scan , I'm just a bit worried has I have issues with sweeteners like even a little,  I get a weird throat and ears and I've read it is a similar substance , not sure if anyone has had one of these scans or could give me some advise on the drink prep thanks in advance 😄

Hi all ! Can a celiac attack be so intense that it causes your entire body to work in reverse? Meaning really bad pain,  neuropathy and muscle,  jaw pain,  the stomach issues , Horrible anxiety and confusion??  I had a Tums and you would think I ate poison. My jaw and stomach did not like it . Not the norm for me. Things that are simple are just out of control. Anyone ever have this happen??  I'm trying to figure out what I ate or did to bring on a celiac like attack. I had an idea before but yesterday I didn't have any gluten unless it was in a medication ?! Any positive suggestions ??  Thank you

The following two lists are very helpful for anyone who is gluten sensitive and needs to avoid gluten when shopping. It's very important to learn to read labels and understand sources of hidden gluten, and to know some general information about product labelling--for example in the USA if wheat is a possible allergen it must be declared on a product's ingredient label like this: Allergens: Wheat.
    • trents
Tammy, in the food industry, "gluten free" doesn't mean the same thing as "no gluten". As Scott explained, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) allows food companies to use the "gluten-free" label as long as the product does not contain more than 20 ppm (parts per million) of gluten. This number is based on studies the FDA did years ago to determine the reaction threshold for those with celiac disease. And the 20 ppm figure works for the majority of celiacs. There are those who are more sensitive, however, who still react to that amount. There is another, stricter standard known as "Certified Gluten Free" which was developed by a third party organization known as GFCO which requires not more than 10 ppm of gluten. So, when you see "GFCO" or "Certified Gluten Free" labels on food items you know they are manufactured with a stricter standard concerning gluten content. Having said all that, even though you may read the disclaimer on a food item that says the spices may contain wheat, barley or rye (the gluten grains), you should be able to trust that the amount of gluten the spices may contain is so small it allows the total product to meet the requirements of gluten free or certified gluten free labeling. I hope this helps.
