Ummmm.......no.....unless you count his early afro years. But now that I look at it again, the ears are too small for a bunny........looks more like a llama! :o

Glad to know I haven't been planted on Lisa's bum.

I have 'symphany' though Lisa, I had a fall like that a while ago and now I'm not allowed to walk around the house in socks unless they're grippy. Other wise I have to wear slippers, by decree of the King (my boyfriend).

We had 66 last night while on the way to the grocery store, and the ice has already reached us. I am not looking forward to the trip home or the drive back here in the morning. Tis going to be an interesting night.

John has gastritis caused by taking too much Aleeve. Turns out that stuff can ravage a stomach. I am currently awaiting his phone call so I can run downstairs to see him on his break.

Talk to you in a bit sillies!

Uhoooh!!! Why's he need so much aleve for? Hope his tummy starts to feel better right away.

I'm in Ct, it's sposed to be super icy here too. If it's really bad I'll have the man come get me, he's got an F150 with big mean tires. Oh! Oh! He's off work for the winter!!!! YAY!!!!! we manage our money so he can take the winter off instead of plowing and we get so much time together, and he does projects. It's wunnerful.

Hey, all you Lymies. Do you still get migraines or any side effects from it, even though you were treated in the past? And is Lyme in any way transmittable between people?

Bunnie, yer boyfriend sure sounds like a keeper! He's so good to you :)

Lisa so sorry about your fall, what's the bruise looking like today..Michael Jackson the gloved and sequined years??

And John developed gastritis?? Heinous!!! How do they treat that? Hope now that they know what is going on he can get to feeling better :)

Patti, yer brain was on the symphany!! Maybe it's trying to tell you something....do you need more classical music in your life? Gershwin??

Soozle, wackl weather in Fresno!!! And poor traumatized Weezle trapped in the car during the worst of it, is she ok??? I so enjoyed your giddyness over yer snaux , and yer photos on the Book

Yeah, you might have needed to cover your wee trees and bushes and plants and such to protect from freezing, at least that is what we do here when temps drop.

Let me just say it was f#$%-ing COLD, it dropped to 19 below zero the other night. Sunday it didn't get above zero, yesterday the high was like 10 (if that)......when you go outside your nose hairs freeze

But good news, Arnie finally did his business! The booties helped, he doesn't like to wear them and I had to try not to laugh watching him try to walk around in them, he would pick up his feet and kick them back like, "what the heck is going on here with these things on my feet!"

Jess, what are Kiddo Balls???!!??

Just plopping in for a minute. Weather is weird lately. 65 yesterday but the wind was unreal. I fully expected to see Dorothy and Toto fly by....we're not in Kansas anymore! :P Today the temp is dropping....rain, sleet, hail, snow....the full monty! I don't mind the rain...you don't have to shovel that!

Lisa....sorry to hear about your fall. Hope there's no lasting damage. Liked the descriptions of your butt-bruise.

Amanda...hope your hunny feels better soon. Amazing how things that are supposed to make you feel better can do so much harm! I'm afraid to take much of anything unless I'm desperate for that very reason. Even Tylenol poses a harm to your kidneys.

Peter.....such earth shattering news! It never occured to me that the evil toilet seats were waiting to crush unsuspecting innocent little weenii. I once had a wooden seat.....didn't have it long, the darn thing liked to pinch :o .

Am working on new lyrics for "These are a few of my favorite things". Any suggestions are welcome!

So, we put up our Christmas tree last night (real), by our front living room window as usual, and something happened for the first time EVER. I came back this morning, and the tree was knocked over, onto our big chair by the fireplace.:angry: What a mess! The only new thing in the mix this Christmas is Elsie - -so I think she stood on her hind legs, burrowed in through the needles, grabbed the trunk and pulled the tree over.

Er sumfin'. . . . . .....

Emileeee..hi! I can picture the fallen tree :D . I always had to tie our trees up and secure them to the wall. We've always had cats...you see. Had too many accidents like yours before I learned. Nothing like finding your tree and the carefully placed decorations splayed out on the floor. Also learned early on the tinsel was a very bad idea. Ever had to pull tinsel out of a cats butt? :o Not phun, not phun at all.

Sooze, I need the recipe for yer brussel sprouts TOUT SUITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I was surprised to read this, also......I never peel mine, either. . .. just cut the stalky end from each one.

I cut the stalky end off too, but I also remove the outermost layer, does this count as peeling?

Sillies, I am so very tired. I think I might have a touch of the holiday dull drums, overwhelmed by too many things.....for one the Paella for Christmas Eve is a no-go. With our schedule of church and coming back and needing to eat right away it isn't the most practical of recipes, although I would LOVE to do it I really need something that can be made ahead and just warmed up. So back to the drawing board on the menu, and time is running out!!!

And Amanda got snow!!!! Does this mean judy and Patti did too?!?!

I agree, there can be contamination at many points--milling is another possible source of contamination for any flours.

Keep in mind that with manufactured food products, "gluten free" doesn't equate to no gluten. Things that are naturally gluten free can be cross-contaminated with gluten in the field, in shipping and in processing. In the U.S. companies can use the gluten free label as long as the product doesn't exceed 20ppm of gluten. That amount still may cause a reaction in some people.

Dd10 was tested for celiac four years ago bc two siblings were dx’d (positive labs and biopsies). Her results at the time were positive ema  and ttg (7x the UL), but a negative biopsy. We checked again three months later and her ttg was still positive (4x the UL), but ema and biopsy were negative. Doc said it was “potential celiac” and to keep eating gluten, but we were concerned about harming her growth and development while young and had her go gluten-free because we felt the labs and ema in particular were very suggestive of early celiac, despite the negative biopsies. She also had stomach aches and lethargy when eating it. We just felt it’d be better to be safe than sorry. Now, four years later, she doesn’t want to be gluten-free if she doesn’t “have to be,” so underwent a 12 week gluten challenge. She had labs done before starting and all looked great (celiac panel all negative, as expected.) Surprisingly, she experienced no noticeable symptoms when she began eating gluten again, which we felt was a positive sign. However, 12 weeks in, her labs are positive again (ttg 4x the UL and ema positive again as well). Doc says that since she feels fine and her previous two biopsies showed nothing, she can just keep eating gluten and we could maybe biopsy again in two years. I was looking up the ema test and the probability of having not just one but two false positives, and it seems ridiculously low.  Any advice? Would you biopsy again? She’s old enough at this point that I really feel I need her buy-in to keep her gluten-free, and she feels that if the doc says it’s fine, then that’s the final word — which makes me inclined to biopsy again and hope that it actually shows damage this time (not because I want her to have celiac like her sisters, but because I kind of think she already does have it, and seeing the damage now would save her more severe damage in the long run that would come from just continuing to eat gluten for a few more years before testing again.)  Our doc is great - we really like him. But we are very confused and want to protect her. One of her older sibs stopped growing and has lots of teeth problems and all that jazz from not catching the celiac disease sooner, and we don’t want to get to that point with the younger sis. fwiw- she doesn’t mind the biopsy at all. It’s at a children’s hospital and she thinks it’s kind of fun. So it’s not like that would stress her out or anything.

Thanks for the replies. I already use a gluten-free brand of buckwheat flakes I occasionally get itchy bumps. I'm still reviewing all my food products. I occasionally eat prepackaged gluten-free crackers and cookies, so I'll stop using those. I use buckwheat flakes and Doves Farm flour as a base for baking. Would you recommend eliminating those as well? It's a constant search.

Gluten free food is not fortified with vitamins and minerals as regular food is.  Vitamin deficiencies are common especially in recently diagnosed persons,  Get a 25(OH)Vitamin D blood test. And work on raising it.  The safe upper blood level is around 200 nmol/L.    "Low serum levels of 25(OH)D have been associated with increased risk of autoimmune disease onset and/or high disease activity. The role of vitamin D in autoimmune diseases   🏋️‍♂️Good job!   I find the commercial milk will give me mild stomach burn at night, while pasture/grassfed only milk does not bother me at all.  While you are healing, listen to your body.  If it hurts to eat something, eat something else.  You may be able to eat it later, or maybe it is just not good for you.  Lower your Omega 6 to 3 ratio of what you eat.  Most omega 6 fatty acids are inflammation causing.    The standard american diet omega 6:3 ratio is estimated at upward of 14:1.  Thats why fish oil works
