Rachel- You "back massager" story is killing me.

OK- I have a funny kid story (but not as funny as Rachelle's). I was babysitting my professor's 5 year old son and we took their dogs for a walk. Whilst wandering down a country road in summer, he tells me that he knows how penises get hard. I said "ReallY" (not sure where to go with it at this point). He says, "Yes, penises have seahorses in them and that's how they get bigger. " I told him I never knew this and he turns to me with a dead pan 5 year old face and says, "My dad's must have a REALLY big seahorse in it." I almost died (and so did my professor when I told her the story) :lol: :lol:

A story told by a hairdresser, from one of his clients:

Her very young son asked where babies come from. Being too nervous to discuss it, she hands him a book and tells him they can talk about what he's read. A couple hours later he comes back, thoroughly disgusted and announces he's never having babies. When his mom asks why not, he tells her its the grossest thing; the man pees fish in the woman's butt, and that's how babies are made.

Oh, hell, is that what that is? Hell, I've got one of those, only it is much more easily recognizable as a penis... .....the balls go once around the neck, and the penis is just kinda flung casually around one shoulder. Quite a brash statement... . ........

But whot a strange thing - - a skinny li'l penis carpet. Who'd a thunk? Some well-meaning grandmother finds bits of hideous, leftover wool in her knitting basket and thinks, "oh, dear.. ...... ..I never like to waste any of my wool. What on earth can I make with this little scrap of multi-coloured yarn?.. . ... ....OH! I know! I shall make Eleanor a lovely little penis carpet for her sitting room"!

Got the router problem all nice and fixed, and now my desktop is suddenly presenting me with that ominous black screen and white, frightening text telling me that Windows is NOT able to start as there is a missing or.... .. . ....(((shudder)))..... . .corrupt.... ...... . file. :unsure::unsure:

Gah Em....quite unsilly, this computer business :angry:

Well, we just had 4 hours of sleep in Bessamer, Alabama. Lost time trying to get out of Louisiana <_< the traffic was horrendous. So to stay on schedule and get to Joisey at a halfway decent hour, we must get back on the road.

Caught up (Bevvie, you did nae scare me away and I thought that scarf looked a bit penile :P .....*chuckle* at the kids/sex stories) but must run...hope everyone has a nice day! :D

'Tsokay.. ... ....... . ..our Thanksgiving was over a month ago. That is the one thing that is better about our Thanksgiving than your Yanks' - - it is in early October, far enough away from Christmas that it isn't one big rush and food-stuffing at once. <_<

Okay.....all fixed. Still dunno exactly what in hell was going on .... .... ....but he fixed it, in about ten minutes. Then he installed some malware software, found a couple of patches to install for a printer problem I casually mentioned I've been having, and then he took out my garbage. I asked him if he had time to walk the dogs, but he had another client waiting at the other end of the city.

Me auntie has 2 of these, I lurve them!! They're gigantic!! If my dh wasn't deathly allergic, I'd have a housefull of 'em!!

We are in Idaho. So far, OK. As soon as we got here, I went out and ran 5 miles, so I've got the endorphins goin' Plus the 2 bottles of vodka waitin for me in the freezer--yes, I only brought 2, thought 14 might be too much ;) I will get up and hopefully run 7, before I have to start cooking! I've had my beh-beh fix, my tiny nephew has been attached to be since I got here, he's ADORABLE!! I ate a jar of pickles on the way up here, pre beh-beh preperation--Lordy, I hope that's all it was :huh::P

Y'all have a FABULOUS Thanksgiving. Eat lots, love lots, drink lots!!

Uh-Oh, I'm in trouble, me SIL just got in trouble for saying arss, I'm in deep sh!t....

Seeing that I'm posting in the middle of the night again....let me be the phirst to say Happy Thanksgiving!! :D

We had the most gawdawful drive today--between the traffic, road construction and phog it took us from 8AM to 1:30AM to get here. (Alabama to NJ) Phinally getting to bed.

One son conked out--will see him in the morning. We stayed up and talked to our other son till just a few minutes ago.

I'm so happy to be back here :D:D:D:D:D

Rah-shell--better watch yer mouth :PA whole jar of pickles????? Any news you want to share? :P

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

I'm actually having margaritas today. Doing the celebration thing on Saturday at my bro's friends house (the John's - two partners named Jon and John). Have been told that they have a friend who is gluten-free, and Jon is a professional chef, so not to worry about any food.

Should be interesting.

Is it strange that the only time I find to come post and say hi is on Thanksgiving, the traditional day of female psychosis? I did all my cooking yesterday!

      Not necessarily. The "Gluten Free" label means not more than 20ppm of gluten in the product which is often not enough for super sensitive celiacs. You would need to be looking for "Certified Gluten Free" (GFCO endorsed) which means no more than 10ppm of gluten. Having said that, "Gluten Free" doesn't mean that there will necessarily be more gluten than "Certified...

      I think it is wise to seek a second opinion from a GI doc and to go on a gluten free diet in the meantime. The GI doc may look at all the evidence, including the biopsy report, and conclude you don't need anything else to reach a dx of celiac disease and so, there would be no need for a gluten challenge. But if the GI doc does want to do more testing, you...

I wish I had known of this at the time of her diagnosis, life would have been much easier.  I hope you are able to figure out.

Mainly he kept saying his legs were shaking. Is this a gluten exposure symptom that anyone else gets? Also the bad behavior?

But if the GI doc does want to do more testing, you can worry about the gluten challenge at that time. But between now and the time of the appointment, if your symptoms improve on a gluten free diet, that is more evidence. Just keep in mind that if a gluten challenge is called for, the bare minimum challenge length is two weeks of the daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten, which is about the amount found in 4-6 slices of wheat bread. But, I would count on giving it four weeks to be sure.
