God help us all when she moves to the uneven bars!!!

And/or when she gets bigger. ...... .. .. .

My DD had such a pitiful time as a wee kid in gymnastics classes. I would stand wincing and grimacing as she repeatedly fell off the beam, rolled off the mats and tripped through various tumbles and cartwheels. At the end of what turned out to be her final lesson, she executed a lopsided cartwheel, turned on her heel and hurried over to me. Red-faced, she said "I need to put myself in front of a hockey net and start stopping pucks"... . . . ..

And so it went. :rolleyes::lol:

Assassin update: No confirmed kills yet. J found his prey's car at the girlfriend's house (not J's girl friend). He jumped on the car & shook it to try to get the alarm to go off so the boy would come. The car wasn't locked so no alarm! :P

After Max's first class last week, during free time he was doing front flips off the beam and then the higher ring platform into the foam pits. I sit there with my heart in my stomach the whole time. During his class, however, I laugh nonstop for 45 minutes. These preschoolers are Heeelarious!!

Hey all--about time you made it back, Rah-shell..... ;)

Oye, what a day. Went to the salon, Estaban greets me wif--got some bad news, the product was supposed to come in yesterday but didn't get here. Anywho, he said he could go pick it up and be back in 20 minutes--how sweet was that

so I occupied meselph by watching a lady get hair extensions put in. Had no idea how that worked--and what a production it was.

So, hair gets done--been there 2 hours at that point. Stopped at a grocery store near the salon that has a few things I can't find at Kroger. Whilst I'm in there, the sky opens up and it starts pouring.

I get about a mile from my house (still damp) and all traffic was stopped due to a tree that came down during the storm. Phinally got home 40 minutes before the house was to be shown--and thank goodness, not complaining about that at all but I had to spiff up the joint quick and turn on all the lights since it's such a gloomy day.

Just had a spot of tea and a Lara bar....so very relaxing :D

And the best part--I'm not bald :P

We should all play it! We would have to find each other lurking on different forum topics. Or we could actually shoot water guns in person. I want to get Nik or Rachelle when she is in Hawaii.

Good to hear you made it home with all your hair. Did the rain ruin your 'do?

Did the rain ruin your 'do?

A wee bit--I quickly used the blow dryer and a big round brush and it smoothed right back out. :)

.. . ... And your hair was perfect for the showing! The most vital thing, methinks. A potential buyer couple may have walked up your laneway, saying things like "This is lovely. I love the feel of the property, the neighboUrhood, the landscaping. .. .. . ....oh. . ...wait..... .. ...here comes the owner... . . ... . .whoa - - check out her HAIR.. .. .... . .what's up with that? When we get enough pluses we become excellent. What happens if we get a large negative number? Will the mods kick us off? We would have to come back with new secret names.

but I had to spiff up the joint quick

Read that too fast and had to go back.......:lol::lol:

Used to work at a hospital in California where it is sometimes and in some places legal or sorta legal for medical purposes. Never heard it prescribed for the parent but would make sense. have you ever watched the show "Weeds?" The soccer mom was loosing business to legal pot sales.

Soooo not looking forward to that!! DD tried to convince me that she "just had to" call her friend to ask a "very important question" (about Justin Bieber ;) ) at 930 Saturday night. I said NO WAY! I'd be P.O.'d if someone called her after 8pm!

So, I get up this morning and my laptop is dead--nothing!

This is tragic! I shall pray for you! ;)

We had the problem with one of Matthew's friends. He didn't want to 'be mean'. So we cut his phone off. He finally got mad enough with them and told them to stop calling after 9 because they were getting him in trouble.

Hi Christiana, Many thanks for your response.  Interestingly, I too cannot eat wheat in France without feeling effects (much less than in the US, but won't indulge nonetheless).  I also understand children are screened for celiac in Italy prior to starting their education. Wise idea as it seems my grandson has the beginning symptoms (several celiacs in his dad's family), but parents continue to think he's just being difficult.  Argh.  There's a test I took that diagnosed gluten sensitivity in 2014 via Entero Labs, and am planning on having done again.  Truth be told, I'm hoping it's the bromine/additives/preservatives as I miss breads and pastas terribly when home here in the states!  Be well and here's to our guts healing ❤️

Lol that’s so true! Hope you get clarity, it’s tough when there’s doubt. There’s so much known about celiac disease with all the scientific research that’s been done so far yet practically and clinically there’s also so much unknown, still. Out of curiosity what’s her dairy consumption like? Even compared to early years to now? Has that changed? Calcium is dependent in the mechanism of antigen presenting cells in the gut. High calcium foods with gluten grains can initiate inflammation greater.  This is why breakfast cereals and milk combo long term can be a ticking time bomb for genetically susceptible celiacs (not a scientific statement by any means but my current personal opinion based on reasoning at present). Milk and wheat are the top culprits for food sensitivity. Especially in childhood. There are also patient cases of antibodies normalising in celiac children who had milk protein intolerance/ delayed type allergy. Some asymptomatic. There were a couple of cases of suspected celiacs that turned out to have milk protein intolerance that normalised antibodies on a gluten containing diet. Then there were others that only normalised antibodies once gluten and milk was eliminated. Milk kept the antibodies positive. Celiac disease is complicated to say the least.

And thank you for your encouragement. I am glad that her body is doing a good job fighting it. I also just want clarity for her moving forwards. She was only 6 for the last round of testing and she's 10 now, so I'm also hoping that makes a difference. It was weird during her last round of testing though, because right before her biopsy, we'd upped her gluten intake by giving her biscuits made from straight up vital wheat gluten, and her labs actually normalized slightly (lower ttg and her ema went negative). Bodies just do weird things sometimes! lol
    • deanna1ynne
The first negative biopsy in 2021 just said "no pathological change" for all the samples, and the second one in 2022 said "Duodenal mucosa with mild reactive change (focal foveolar metaplasia) and preserved villous architecture." So I think Marsh score 0 in both cases, though it's not actually written in the pathology reports. I'm really hoping to get a clear positive result this time, just for her sake.

Hopefully the biopsy gives a conclusive and correct diagnosis for your daughter. Im in the UK and have been in the situation a few years ago of trying to rule celiac in or out after inconclusive results. Many symptoms pointing to it including the classic symptoms and weight loss and folate and iron deficiency. You have to play a waiting game. I also had the label of IBS and likely food allergy. Genetic test showed low risk for celiac but not no risk. It sounds like the Gastroenterologist is on it and hopefully will diagnose what it is correctly. Food hypersensitivity (allergy) can also cause similar symptoms and inflammation as well as mimicking IBS. Milk / dairy and wheat (cereal grains) being the biggest culprits. The “oesophagitis” and “gastritis” you mentioned can be caused by another gastrointestinal disorder called “eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders”. These are named depending on which part of the gastrointestinal tract is affected. For example eosinophilic oesophagitis, eosinophilic gastritis, eosinophilic gastroenteritis, and more rare eosinophilic colitis. They are antigen (allergen) driven. When the blood test measuring anti-ttg antibodies is positive in absence of a positive ema test - which is more specific to celiac, this can also suggest food hypersensitivity (allergy). Usually delayed type allergy similar to celiac but not autoimmune if that makes sense. In this case the ttg antibodies are transient. Which happens. I’ve first hand experience. For info, evidence of villous atrophy too can be caused by food hypersensitivity. Not just by celiac disease. In Egid disorders the six food elimination diet, under a dietitian and gastroenterologist care, is the dietary protocol to figure out the culprit or culprits. Sometimes only two food elimination diet is used at first. The number one culprit is milk protein / dairy. Followed by wheat, eggs, soy, fish and seafood, and nuts. Most are only reactive to one food group or two. Most are only reactive to milk. Hope this is a helpful reply.
