Good Luck to K and Em's mama's!! Love from the left coast ;)

Busy day today! Made 2 more cakes for a big baby shower this weekend. They've given me a color pallet and said do whatever I want.... I think that's more stressful!! But I'm gettin paid for it :D My housekeeper called and had to cancel this week so I was forced to clean the darned thing myselph <_<;) I caught up on all my laundry and made a yummy Italian pasta salad for dinner that my kids surely won't eat  . I just sat down, not sure if I'll be able to get back up  Oh wait, now I have to take both kids to gymnastics..... Later...

I know--when you're going like that, sitting down can be be dangerous! Don't forget to breathe, Rah-schell :D

So, had a panic attack today....I had one a couple of months ago and before that none since I went gluten-free. I have no idea wih triggered it but all of a sudden me heart started beating really fast, I had been a little dizzy for the last couple of weeks anyway, and I felt kind of panicky. I put my pheet up and tried to breathe through it--felt worse before I felt better, but I seem to be ok now. Jeesh

Paghteigh!! Oh, dear.... ....panic attack...how awful. I have heard and read about how these paralyzing episodes can make one feel like they're dying.. .. . . ....... . I'm so glad it passed. Thinking about you... ..

Then you would not believe the variety - soft ones, ones that are attached to the under shorts and the big mondo ones that you can wing a Lacrosse ball at from close range and feel nothing.

DD is in competitive contact sports, and while she doesn't, of course, wear a jock, she wears what they call a jill - - a thick fabric piece that fits in front of her groin area. I find myself wondering why a jill isn't hard plastic like a cup.... . . ....a careening hockey puck, lacrosse ball or knee/elbow is gonna hurt and do as much damage there on a girl as it would a boy...... . . ..I guess a man's area just seems so much more... . ....out there.

Actually. it IS more out there.

And why aren't male sport cups given sizes like bras? They are simply small, medium and large. Methinks DH would be a 36B... ..

Well, we are four days in, and Bagheera has taken over, in a fashion. He has met all of the other cats, both here at home and at the store. They can see each other, but are physically separated, with Bagheera in a pen with the wire-mesh wall between him and others. Oliver, our 14-year-old male at home, is nonreactive. The other four, who are female, have shown varying degrees of contempt. The hostility levels seem to be going down.

Glad the kitties are figuring things out. You must be a better alpha cat than I am. I could never make mine get along.

Hubby posted for a promotion in Spokane <_< I HATE Spokane! :( He grew up there and all of his friends are still there--except for the ones who moved to Portland  I lived there for 2 years and it was miserable. Granted, we lived in the hood and I was sick for all 2 years of it, but it doesn't evoke great memories. All my friends and familia are here -_- I shall wait and see what happens. Whatever shall be shall be.

Had to vent....Don't want my family to know yet....

kareng Grand Master

The Catholic thrift store still hasn't scheduled a pick up for my dining room furniture! Being forced to invite the in-laws for dinner! Agghhh!

Must get a small stick for my mouth. Staying in the kitchen cooking doesn't work. It's big and open to the family room.

How far is Spokane from Portland? I'm too lazy to find a map and look.

6 hours if a normal person drives. 4.5 hours if I drive ;) 45 minute plane ride. Not horrible, but horrible enough.

Oh Rah-schell....been there....you have a good attitude about it, though. :) Keep us posted!

So ya couldn't get out of it :( Well, good luck wif it--think psyllie thoughts when the goin' gets rough ;)

So, I had to run to Kroger for some fruit and on a whim I stopped at the lil' haircut place down the plaza and got about 4 inches cut off :o Me neck pheels cooler, that's fer sure :lol:B)

Excited fer the new realtor to start--she was here yesterday and I really like her. When she speaks, she sounds exactly like Reba McIntyre. :P I called the present one and asked very sweetly if she would consider terminating our contract a little early (2 weeks), and she wouldn't do it <_<

Whaddya gonna do.....

Is Spokane any closer to Ottawa? Easier for me to come and meet you, Rah-shyellle? If so, then you must consider it. . . ......;)

On this subject: Who is relatively close to Chicago? Jyaghnuhtt? Leeesargh? This is where DH and I are heading for four nights in early July. JUST THE TWO OF US.

:D :D B)

This will be the first time since The Ripper was a baby that DH and I have been away anywhere together without the kids. What in hell will we DO? Think I've forgotten how to do.. . .. ...most everything... . . ...completely adult oriented.

Man, what an incredibly liberating feeling it was, booking a simple little king hotel room, with one big bed, and nuttin' else... . . . ...

Does she sing like her? Now, THAT would be a bonus. . . . .... .

Get tested for vitamin deficiencies.  Though neuropathy can be a symptom of celiac, it can also be caused by deficiencies due to poor digestion caused by celiac and could be easier to treat.

Thank you so much for your response  Yes it seems as though things get very painful as time goes on.  I'm not eating gluten as far as I know.  However, I'm not sure of cross contamination.  My system seems to weaken to hidden spices and other possibilities. ???  if cross contamination is possible...I am in a super sensitive mode of celiac disease.. Neuropathy from head to toes

EXACTLY! I was asked yesterday on my LAST video call with Standford and I stated exactly yes absolutely this is why I need the name! One, get proper care, two, not get worse.Im falling apart, stressed out, in pain and just opened email from Stanford stating I was rude ect.I want that video reviewed by higher ups and see if that women still has a job or not.Im saying this because I've been medically screwed and asking for help because bills don't pay itself. This could be malpratice siit but im not good at finding lawyers

We feel your pain. It took me 20+ years of regularly going to doctors desperate for answers only to be told there was nothing wrong with me … when I was 20 pounds underweight, suffering from severe nutritional deficiencies, and in a great deal of pain. I had to figure it out for myself. If you're in the U.S., not having an official diagnosis does mean you can't claim a tax deduction for the extra expense of gluten-free foods. But it can also be a good thing. Pre-existing conditions might be a reason why a health insurance company might reject your application or charge you more money. No official diagnosis means you don't have a pre-existing condition. I really hope you don't live in the U.S. and don't have these challenges. Do you need an official diagnosis for a specific reason? Else, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you're diligent in remaining gluten free, your body should be healing as much as possible so there isn't much else you could do anyway. And there are plenty of us out here who never got that official diagnosis because we couldn't eat enough gluten to get tested. Now that the IL-2 test is available, I suppose I could take it, but I don't feel the need. Someone else not believing me really isn't my problem as long as I can stay in control of my own food.

If you're just starting out in being gluten free, I would expect it to take months before you learned enough about hidden sources of gluten before you stopped making major mistakes. Ice cream? Not safe unless they say it is gluten free. Spaghetti sauce? Not safe unless is says gluten-free. Natural ingredients? Who knows what's in there. You pretty much need to cook with whole ingredients yourself to avoid it completely. Most gluten-free products should be safe, but while you're in the hypersensitive phase right after going gluten free, you may notice that when something like a microwave meal seems to not be gluten-free … then you find out that it is produced in a shared facility where it can become contaminated. My reactions were much-more severe after going gluten free. The analogy that I use is that you had a whole army of soldiers waiting for some gluten to attack, and now that you took away their target, when the stragglers from the gluten army accidentally wander onto the battlefield, you still have your entire army going out and attacking them. Expect it to take two years before all of the training facilities that were producing your soldiers have fallen into disrepair and are no longer producing soldiers. But that is two years after you stop accidentally glutening yourself. Every time you do eat gluten, another training facility can be built and more soldiers will be waiting to attack. Good luck figuring things out.
