A piece of the fence must have been knocked down during the earthquake last week. I have gotten M to fix it so you Psillies cannot escape to other threads! Just need to get you all back in the yard. Here Psillies! Vodka & wine! Martinis! That's a good Psilly. ;)

Thanks for fixing the fence Carengee! Irene knocked part of it down and then tired to blow everyone away! She only got off with a few shingles and pieces of siding though. We were stuck in our house due to flooded streets until the water receded enough yesterday and we could venture out. Lost power off and on throughout the storm. No loss of life for us or major damage thankfully! I could have used that vodka though. It was a pretty boring hurricane once the rain and wind left. Next time I will get a canoe so we can try to go to the store. :D Best video that pretty much sums up the hurricane here was this one from my local news: Open Original Shared Link

Trying to post some lovely cocktails but I think the iPad has drunk them. Weird things are happening, now. The forum is shrinking and stretching . May have to wait for it to sleep it off.

This strange, seismic activity that was rocking the forum last night was due to Irene, I'm sure.... . . . ..Hurricane Irene, not Manna-Irene...although perhaps it WAS you, Manna -- your ILs aren't in town, are they, causing you to throw furniture, toss unwanted junk out the front door?. . . . ..

Frequently.

Did somebody offer a Martini?

Yep, always Frequently. Oracle POeter and I are on the same page. B)

POeter, I am offering you a choice of morning martini:

OMG. . . . .. :blink::blink:

Irene is still seismically messing with the forum. . . . ....or I just made my screen HUGE with those martini pics .. . ......GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH........Psillyville is chaotic to read right now -- I need to get my Gravol.. . . ....

Oh, well.. . . ... ...nice BIG martinis for you, POeter!! :D

Here's what I was trying to post!

Thanks for the giant breakfast martoonies :)

I think Scott is punishing our recent indiscretions by making Psillyville the only over-sized thread.

Or.....

perhaps he figured the old space was not big enough to contain us???:ph34r:

Jestgar Rising Star

Well, it wasn't, since there were several Psillie Psightings in the Poll Post.

I think three more posts to flip the page and make everything normal.

Jestgar Rising Star

Nasty headache this morning. Four ibuprofen and still not gone.

Jestgar Rising Star

I even made extra strength coffee.

Maybe knuckling down at work will make it go away.

Yeah! That's the ticket!

Are we normal sized on this page?

Yep, so long as we are just talking about size (and not the normal part B) )

Having a great time at a two day class called "building a positive workspace". We answer questions in a workbook, then discuss them at our tables. I get to discuss answers like:

"Does everyone in your work environment understand their job description?"

with:

"there are no job descriptions"

and:

"How are new people introduced to the working environment?"

with:

"we've had people working for a couple months before anyone (but the boss) knew they were part of the lab"

Highly, highly amusing

and a little sad

Feeling a bit like GFM's (Nonhurricane Irene's) in laws. We are going to visit J at college over the weekend. Bringing all the things he couldn't bring the first week of school.

Driving a long distance with a bunch of stuff we are leaving in a small space!

Well hopefully, unlike my inlaws you are actually bringing him stuff he needs/wants/will use! I'm sure he will find places for everything and if not, well that's normal dorm life! Are you taking him any peanut butter cookies so he can show the girls what they are supposed to taste like? :D

DD is moving into her residence on Sunday. Not a long drive for us -- perhaps 15 km -- but we'll have two stuffed cars. What in hell? Why is she taking two enormous suitcases full of clothing? She gets on a bus, comes home and grabs her winter sweaters in a couple of months....

Anyways, her room is on the fifteenth floor of one of the main res buildings -- the top floor, and there is no air conditioning. We are all hoping for a cool September. Also, the elevators, for whatever the reason, only stop at even floors. We have a sizeable bar fridge, dresser, huge suitcases and bags to haul up two flights of stairs from the fourteenth floor.

Dear gawd... . . ... .. .and how much is all this costing us?? <_<

Yes. I'm baking them this afternoon & freezing for freshness.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.

Many years ago yes, after eating and going to bed, apparently my esophagus filled with food that my body rejected, the esophagus would lay against the Heart sack (pericardium?) and the heart would respond by becoming arrhythmic. That went away with the strict diet.
