I found this site and I am overwhelmed with Happy-Happy Joy-Joy! We used to drag ourselves out of our drunken stupors on SUNDAY morning (in college) just to watch this show...I guess you had to be there

Nope, I was out of college by then. It looks twisted enough that I might like it though!

What's you favorite epi of R&S? I like the earlier episodes...Space Madness...Rubber Nipple Salesmen...Firedogs... :)

Oh, I wondered what they were supposed to be. Now it makes a little more sense.

Carla, I don't know why-but Ren & Stimpy just tickles me  -agreed it's not for everyone!!!

Oh, I wondered what they were supposed to be. Now it makes a little more sense.

They are a guilty pleasure from the mid-late 90's. They were actually on Nickelodeon if you can believe it. It was twisted and offbeat and the perfect thing to watch on Sunday mornings when one is recovering from a hangover. (as I was for many Sunday mornings in that timeframe!) Picture a roomful of frat boys eating last nights pizza and handfuls of tylenol while farting and reciting and re-reciting their favorite lines of the show -and that was my Sunday A.M. life for about 3 years :o

Meanwhile Nikki was being a good mom and watching it with HER KIDS! (ever hear of the Disney channel Nikki?!) :P

I think that I don't get it because I just had to live with too much psychosis in the past .... eek .... imagine living with that unpredictable behavior in real life. Now that I know it's a chihuahua and a cat, it's a little funnier.

:lol: I know ,I know, but I was sooo bored of Bear in the big blue house- and it went way over their heads!! (bad Mummy...)

That makes perfect sense, but my days hanging around with frat guys was back in the early 80's ... cable was just starting out.

We didn't have cable in the late 90's, so that would explain why I never saw it before ... we just got cable about a month ago ... we just never had time for it before -- that's why all these shows -- Lost, Grey's Anatomy, etc. -- are new to me.

Remember how I was asking for suggestions on what to knit into my morse code beanie?? Well it's done :D

<--refresh to see it!!

I was extremely excited about it as this is the first thing I've knit without a pattern :) It's not quite as long as I'd like...I wanted it to cover my ears, but I'm not sure yet if it bugs me enough to fix it :P;)

Danny Torrance: Do you really want to go and live in that hotel for the winter?

Wendy Torrance: Sure I do. It'll be lots of fun.

Danny Torrance: Yeah, I guess so. Anyway, there's hardly anybody to play with around here.

Wendy Torrance: Yeah, I know. It always takes a little time to make new friends.

Danny Torrance: Yeah, I guess so.

Wendy Torrance: What about Tony? He's lookin' forward to the hotel, I bet.

Danny Torrance: [Moving his finger to speak as "Tony"] No he isn't, Mrs. Torrance.

Wendy Torrance: Now come on, Tony, don't be silly.

Danny Torrance: [as Tony] I don't want to go there, Mrs. Torrance.

Wendy Torrance: Well, how come you don't want to go?

Danny Torrance: [as Tony] I just don't.

Wendy Torrance: Well, let's just wait and see. We're all going to have a real good time.

Danny Torrance: [as Tony] Danny isn't here, Mrs. Torrance.

Oh, The Shining ... no, never seen it. I don't watch horror flicks. I have heard so much about that one, I might need to see it.

DingoGirl Enthusiast

LOVE IT!!! so only about five or six movies in my life have actually scared the beejesus out of me.....The Shining is one of them.....must tell you, the book is even SCARIER....read it when I was about 16, and one day, was reading it in the back yard, about 6 pm, everyone was out of town.....I had to go inside, thought someone might walk up and stab me from behind, through the back gate or something.......ha ha ha ha

YOU MUST SEE THE SHINING!!!! not so much horror....just good, scary fun!!!!!! :o:o:o:P

Glad you cleared it up Richard - his name was Danny....it's been so long.........

Looking for help sourcing gluten-free products that do not contain potato or corn derived ingredients. I have other autoimmune conditions (Psoriatic Arthritis and Sjogrens) so I’m looking for prepared foods as I have fatigue and cannot devote a lot of time to baking my own treats.

I am so sorry you're going through this. It's completely understandable to feel frustrated, stressed, and disregarded after such a long and difficult health journey. It's exhausting to constantly advocate for yourself, especially when you're dealing with so many symptoms and positive diagnoses like SIBO, while still feeling unwell. The fact that you have been diligently following the diet without relief is a clear sign that something else is going on, and your doctors should be investigating other causes or complications, not dismissing your very real suffering.

It is just so sad that health care in the United States has come to this.  Health insurance should be available to everyone, not just the healthy or the rich.  My heart goes out to you.  I would not hesitate to have the test and pay for it myself.  My big concern would be how you could keep the results truly private.  I am sure that ultimately, you could not.  A.I. is getting more and more pervasive, and all data is available somewhere.  I don't know if you could give a fake name, or pay for your test with cash.  I certainly would not disclose any positive results on a private insurance application.  As I understand it, for an official diagnosis, an MD needs to review your labs and make the call.  If you end up in the ER, or some other situation, just request a gluten free diet, and say it is because you feel better when you don't eat gluten.      Hang in there, though.  Medicare is not that far away for you, and it will remove a lot of stress from your health care concerns.  You will even be able to "come out of the closet" about being Celiac!

Yes, I've posted a few times about two companies: Request a Test and Ulta Labs. Also, pretty much we can all request any test we want (with the possible exception of the N protein Covid test and I'm sure a couple of others) with Lab Corp (or Pixel by Lab Corp) and Quest. I much prefer Lab Corp for their professionalism, ease of service and having it together administratively, at least in DC. And just so you know, Request a Test uses Lab Corp and Quest anyway, while Ulta Labs uses only Quest. Ulta Labs is cheaper than Request a Test, but I am tired of dealing with Quest, so I don't use them so much.

PS - I think you meant this site, but I don't believe it has been updated in years: http://glutenfreedrugs.com/ so it is best to use: You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
