OMG...What if DonnaB looks exactly like you, Originaldonna? Then what would we do??:wacko:

...

I immediately hit SHIFT when seated beside a smelly, lecherous man on the bus...

...NUM LOCK when I want that lazy, dazed, out-to-lunch feeling I suddenly get at my desk to linger for a while...

...and of course, the very useful PrtScrSysRq, which I smack when I just don't know what in hell is going on...

Donna- YOU LOOK GREAT!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!

Don't worry about it...it doesn't matter, honestly, if you can't, you know...get it up there. It really doesn't. We'll all understand... it happens to all guys at some point where they can't maintain maximum wittiness. Really, it's okay. Please don't be embarrassed or humiliated.

Why can't my son wear a pair of jeans for more than one day . . . even if he had them on for only an hour or two? . . . but he'll wear the same pair of underwear and socks for a week if I don't tell him to change them????

A puzzle to be sure!

Donna! <waves to av> Nice pic! .. . .. . .. .why'd I think ALL your pix would be mid-guffaw?

It's funny how, at some point of many a Saturday morn, I suddenly think "oh damn .. .got up too late again to surprise Donna at WhFds!"  :P

Not all mid-guffaw...no guy taking the picture screaming out "say sex" to make me laugh. :P I KNEW you'd never make it up that early. Oh, I mean wake up that early. :P

Would you say that we have a plethora of Donnas? A Donnapalooza perhaps?

Ok, this is not a silly but I feel terribly sad for the dog who lives across the street.

OMGosh! That truly makes me upset! Dogs especially are pack animals and need to be part of something.

What would we do without the Oracle Peter. We must compose an ode to him and build him a temple. Peter- what kind of temple do you want?

Bev, this is SUCH a terrific idea. A large temple for worship and sacrificial ceremonies. It should be a stone construction, as Peter literally means "rock". And I will put forth that it be in the shape of a massive incisor, as Peter has single-handedly saved Gus's teeth, perhaps forever, with our new cleaning tool.

Tom- I overnight expressed "those pills" to you. You'll be able to get it up in no time and for long time! But if it STAYS up for too long, go to the ER and try' splaining that one.

"Doctor, I just cannot stop...my wittiness has gotten out of control. HELP ME!!"

Wait- is anyone else suspicious here- DO Amanda and Tom share the same john?<_<

As long as they are not using sharing the same John at the same time.

Were you adopted? Is there ANY way you could be my long-lost sister? take off, eh?

I am so glad to learn that I have a long lost twin. And I am even more pleased that it Open Original Shared Link.

:o Yes...Sharing johns is VERY tricky. Tom may be in the way, and Amanda won't be able to hover properly...

Well...I'm in because I had to use the men's room in a grocery store once

It almost happened again a couple years ago at Whole Foods...I was still pretty sick, and I was on line to use the ladies' room. Luckily, I did get in before I had to use the men's room again :P

I am so excited...have never been part of a plethora!

I'm glad your daughter is ok Emily :)

Keep in mind it's been very cold and we have had lots of snow. Sometimes I will see him sitting at the front door, which is away from the sun, staring at the door to go inside for a very long time. One time I spotted him outside laying on the snow covered driveway waiting to be let in because his old bones got tired of waiting at the front door on the concrete. In freezing temps, laying in the snow!

Those are now my least favorite people in the world...send the dog to me, I love dogs, I'll take care of him :(

Yay! I always assumed that the men's room was there for my convenience...for WHENEVER I didn't feel like waiting...took my Hubby a while to get used to this but now I know that I have always done this because there was a much higher motivation than just my mere comfort...I was because the Higher Powers KNEW that someday I would want to join this group

Julie - we all know you NEED a dog!!! Take the dog. Do a spectacular makeover using your new EM and make him look like a substandard poodle. This will also require brushing his teeth with some tri-headed contraption from Peter. If possible, teach him to bark with an accent (Le Bark). Tell the neighbors "No, I haven't seen your dog. I'm sure he'll end up with someome who will love him and cherish him". . . if only, huh? :(

I have to tell you, when we went to the museum on Saturday, there were racing team exhibits/booths along with the regular exhibits just for the weekend. So there ended up being a high male to female ratio . . . there was a LINE for the MEN'S ROOM and none for the Women's!!!! I've never seen that before!!

Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time. (Man, that movie cracks me up.)

Well, her head's swollen...from getting the MVP!! I was so proud of her for that one... :):)

She's still got a bit of a headache, but went to school today and seems her regular girly self. Thanks so much, all, for asking about my little netminder...

Indeed!

No surprise! Last year when we were there I noticed immediately that the men are all very Mayan: stocky and short. The stalls obviously reflect this....

Welcome to the celiac.com communiuty, @Matthias! Yes, we have been aware that this can be an issue with mushrooms but as long as they are rinsed thoroughly it should not be a problem since the mushrooms don't actually incorporate the gluten into their cellular structure. For the same reason, one needs to be careful when buying aged cheeses and products containing yeast because of the fact that they are sometimes cultured on gluten-containing substrate.
    • Matthias
The one kind of food I had been buying and eating without any worry for hidden gluten were unprocessed veggies. Well, yesterday I discovered yet another pitfall: cultivated mushrooms. I tried some new ones, Shimeji to be precise (used in many asian soup and rice dishes). Later, at home, I was taking a closer look at the product: the mushrooms were growing from a visible layer of shredded cereals that had not been removed. After a quick web research I learned that these mushrooms are commonly cultivated on a cereal-based medium like wheat bran. I hope that info his helpful to someone.

I might suggest you consider buckwheat groats. https://www.amazon.com/Anthonys-Organic-Hulled-Buckwheat-Groats/dp/B0D15QDVW7/ref=sr_1_4_pp?crid=GOFG11A8ZUMU&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.bk-hCrXgLpHqKS8QJnfKJLKbKzm2BS9tIFv3P9HjJ5swL1-02C3V819UZ845_kAwnxTUM8Qa69hKl0DfHAucO827k_rh7ZclIOPtAA9KjvEEYtaeUV06FJQyCoi5dwcfXRt8dx3cJ6ctEn2VIPaaFd0nOye2TkASgSRtdtKgvXEEXknFVYURBjXen1Nc7EtAlJyJbU8EhB89ElCGFPRavEQkTFHv9V2Zh1EMAPRno7UajBpLCQ-1JfC5jKUyzfgsf7jN5L6yfZSgjhnwEbg6KKwWrKeghga8W_CAhEEw9N0.eDBrhYWsjgEFud6ZE03iun0-AEaGfNS1q4ILLjZz7Fs&dib_tag=se&keywords=buckwheat%2Bgroats&qid=1769980587&s=grocery&sprefix=buchwheat%2Bgroats%2Cgrocery%2C249&sr=1-4&th=1 Takes about 10 minutes to cook. Incidentally, I don't like quinoa either. Reminds me and smells to me like wet grass seed. When its not washed before cooking it makes me ill because of saponins in the seed coat. Yes, it can be difficult to get much dietary calcium without dairy. But in many cases, it's not the amount of calcium in the diet that is the problem but the poor uptake of it. And too much calcium supplementation can interfere with the absorption of vitamins and minerals in general because it raises gut pH.

What you’re describing really does not read like typical IBS-D. The dramatic, rapid normalization of stool frequency and form after removing wheat, along with improved tolerance of legumes and plant foods, is a classic pattern seen in gluten-driven disease rather than functional IBS. IBS usually worsens with fiber and beans, not improves. The fact that you carry HLA-DQ2.2 means celiac disease is absolutely possible, even if it’s less common than DQ2.5, and many people with DQ2.2 present later and are under-diagnosed. Your hesitation to reintroduce gluten is completely understandable — quality of life matters — and many people in your position choose to remain strictly gluten-free and treat it as medically necessary even without formal biopsy confirmation. If and when you’re ready, a physician can help you weigh options like limited gluten challenge, serology history, or documentation as “probable celiac.” What’s clear is that this wasn’t just random IBS — you identified the trigger, and your body has been very consistent in its response.
