Bbq Brickets Can Have Gluten?

I heard someone mentioning that the BBQ Briquettes can have gluten in them and that I need to get "organic" ones instead.

I am not sure if it is true and couldn't find any info on it so far. Anyone know if it is true?

(sorry I spelled Briquettes wrong, english is my second language :P )

Many of the Charcoal briquets have wheat in them. There is a great deal of controversy of whether the gluten will ever reach the food but why take the chance if you don't have to.

Kingsford has Wheat in their products. Albertson's Brand does not. We also sometimes use the hardwood charcoal brands (various types).

Check your local restaurant supply food distributor, they often have the hardwood briquets.

what do you think the purpose of wheat is in briquettes?

I would suggest that if you can not use a gas grill then use the wood ones. We use them when camping and they seem to work quite well.

We buy natural charcoal after I got glutened from Kingsford. I know the theory is that the wheat burns, but I definately got glutened and had eaten at home and prepared my own food all week. The natural charcoal is better for you anyway, there are a lot of chemicals in regular charcoal ... in fact, if I had known before that it even existed, I would have been using it anyway!! It burns much quicker though, so be ready when you start the grill.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
