Does anyone know what brand names of ice cream are gluten free? My favorite is Stroh's Caramel Nut Cluster.

Some of the Wegmans flavors are, and they list it on their container...I enjoy the Creme Brulee.

I think it depends on what kind of ice-cream you want. Cookies and Cream almost always has gluten. I just bought Shure Fine ice-cream the other night and it was chocolate chip flavored, and on the back of the label under all the ingredients it said that their product was made in a plant that produces nuts and then it said "Gluten Free" under that!! I was so excited. It seems as though more and more companies are starting to realize that they should put Gluten Free on products that don't have gluten!!

Look around a bit you may be surprised by how many products say Gluten free on the label :)

I have never heard of Stroh's before, must not be in this area. Turkey Hill doesn't hide ingredients and all are gluten-free except for the obvious ones, like cookie dough, etc. Breyers are mostly all gluten-free, most Kroger ice cream is gluten-free, except for the obvious, as is Edy's, Friendly's, I have never had trouble with Blue Bells, but I never buy anything without reading the labels anymore! Most ice creams are gluten-free, except for the obvious ones and those always look so good. :(

If you have Turkey Hill products near you, they are definitely safe so long as you read the label. Mmmmmm.... My favorite ice creams EVER!

I eat Edy's Slow Churned light ice cream. On their website you can do a search for gluten-free products. They're very good and I've not gotten sick from them.

I've yet to find an ice cream where gluten was hidden. Maybe there are some, but I haven't seen them.

My husband had a HUGE laugh at me the other day, I was sitting there reading through a LONG label of non-english words  , then right there at the end it said "gluten-free" Shouldn't have taken so long to read that one!

BTW, I like Breyers (most flavors) and Ben and Jerry's (double chocolate fudge (I think)). Hershey also told me that all their vanilla based ones (except the ones with obvious wheat things) were gluten-free, but they wouldn't guarantee chocolate based.

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
