Has anyone tried the Bell & Evans chicken alfredo?

Open Original Shared Link

I was in Whole Foods today and picked it up. Considering how great their gluten-free chicken nuggets are I have high hopes, but was just wondering if anyone has tried them yet.

It says to make over your favorite pasta, and although I'm sure it's great with Tinkyada, I might try it over rice.

I am hoping to find this in a store near me, it sounds very good!

Does it have a lot of fat in it? I got some of their chicken tenders at Whole foods and I love them, but WF is 1 1/2 hours away so I don't go often. My local store started carrying their non-gluten-free chicken tenders so I asked if they would carry the gluten-free ones and I'm waiting to see. The chicken alfredo sounded good but that usually has a ton of fat in it, which I try to stay away from.

It would be nice to have another convenience food for when I don't feel like cooking.

The bag says it has 4 servings and there are 14 grams of fat (total), 8 grams of saturated fat and no trans fat.

Hope that helps.

My gluten-free store started carrying the chicken nuggets/tenders around Thanksgiving time. I bought a box and fell in love. I actually buy them by the case now, 12 boxes in a case, and a 10% discount for ordering in bulk. In my eyes, worth the $$$. I don't buy a lot of specialty products. I keep them unused ones in a spare freezer. I bought the case in early December and I have 5 boxes left. They make a nice meal when I don't feel like cooking.

Thanks! If they agreed to carry the gluten-free tenders I'm going to ask if they are willing to get this!

Never tried it, but thought I'd put in a good word for chicken alfredo....

The other night I made the best I've had since going gluten-free!!! I used Classico white sauce (found it at walmart), and poured it over tinkyada pasta (the "thai noodles" are my fave), w/ chicken, some parmesan cheese, and pine nuts. Next time I'm gonna try it w/ some warm spinach and tomatoes (like the kind Macaroni Grill makes). Mmm, it was heavenly!

Just a note: I love tinkyada pasta! I make a whole bag at a time, and I'll freeze it (if I don't use it all!). DH even likes it :) and he's a big GLUTEN eater. I used my latest batch in the alfredo, a big pot of chicken soup, some spaghetti, and another dish of alfredo to finish it off! It rocks!

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.

Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you

Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.

Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.

Hi all  I was diagnosed Coeliac a few years ago and follow a gluten free diet. The list of foods that I can eat without a problem grows shorter on a weekly basis. [I also have diabetes and asthma also].  BUT the reason I am posting this is because I seem to struggle with nausea quite a lot, which is really quite debilitating, and I was wondering if others suffer from nausea, even if following a gluten free diet.
