I just got off the phone with wyeth company, the makers of chapstick. They informed me that while they do not add gluten to their products, they cannot confirm that the products are gluten free.

Also, their Peppermint flavored chap stick (which I had been using!!) has no conclusive information either way (Ugh!)

Anyone know of any gluten-free lip balm?

I use Badger Balm products, which are gluten-free. I love their lip balm; in fact, it's the best I've ever used. I order it from Drugstore.com or get it at some local health food stores (but often can't find it there). Some Whole Foods carry their products, too.

I use Badger Balm, too and love it! It goes on much smoother than Chapstick--and it comes in flavors. (as well as plain)

They use no gluten in their facility--I called and spoke with a woman there. She said they had gotten so many calls about gluten that she went to the chemist.

I get mine at Wegman's, and of course Wild Oats and Whole Foods should have it. :)

I'm also pretty sure I've seen it at The Vitamin Shoppe?

I have to say I just thought about you 5 minutes ago when my coworker said I needed to get some more good popcorn. I turned around to see her holding the Wegmans box I had bought 1 week ago, since it was gluten free. My coworkers tore through that box and the Jiffy-pop is still sitting there. Have you been to your store recently?

I use Burt's Bees and love it. It is all natural and doesn't contain any oil/petroleum products. Also make sure that what ever you use doesn't have alcohol in it...it will dry your lips.

:D Too funny about the popcorn! Their own brands are really good--I always buy their Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Yep--we go practically every weekend. It spoils you for every other grocery store, as you know. ;)

I use Blistex. I don't go a day without using it. Much prefer it over chapstick. And yes, as of the last time I checked, it is gluten-free. Plus, I have never had a problem with it. Sooo....just in case it wasn't obvious...I love, love, love, my blistex. :P

I use chapstick daily and have seen it posted here several times as gluten free.

Oh I am really happy to see you posted Burts Bee! Thats what I have used for a long time, and really like the lip salve, and hand salve as well. Thank you for the post. :D

      I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

      Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

      Thankyou so much for your words.Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
