Problems With Corn Chips

I just tried these chips the other and I do not think they sat well with me. Has me thinking either there is a gluten ingredient or cross contamination. I emailed the company with my concerns over a week ago with no reply back as of yet.

Anyone else know of or had issues with this brand of chips?

I am wanting to try "Full Circle" organic yellow corn chips but now I am worried about cross contamination. Does anyone know about this company?

No Happy.

Once you remove gluten from your diet, sometimes you find other food issues. After about six months into the diet, I developed a temporary issue with dairy. In your case, it may have been the sour cream in the chips that caused you discomfort.

I have also heard that before. But I do not think I have a dairy issue since I drink organic milk and yogurt (gluten-free) on a daily basis.

That same night I had a bottle of Red Bridge with dinner as well. But both times I had those chips I had slight problems. I have also read another post about gluten on flavored corn chips.

I have had problems with cross contamination before with Q-Boba (sp) and Chipoltae (sp). When my wife first me about the contamination I said BS. Well it is not BS.

I remember previous posts from other forum members who said they reacted to this brand of chip, Garden of Eatin.

Garden of Eatin is not a dedicated facility, they make a couple of corn chips that have gluten ingredients in them (I also noticed they are making a new pita chip) and use shared production lines.

It could very well be a case of cc for you.

Also, this chili lime chip has a lot of other ingredients in it that you could be reacting to, if not the dairy then maybe the spice extracts that make up the powdered coating.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
