Digestive Enzymes/juice Plus

I just wondered if anyone uses Juice Plus or digestive enzymes for celiac? My son and I were taking juice plus awhile but did not feel better. In fact we both tested positive on IGG blood tests and are doing enterolab tests now. My daughter tested negative and I was positive only on IGg also. But I just wondered about digestive enzymes. I read there is something called peptizide and also juice plus had enzymes. Is there any way they can worsen celiac? I kind of wonder because I feel like he and I both felt worse while we were on it. I am not positive of that though because I am still tired and trying to figure this all out. <_<

I use digestive enzymes - Tropical Papaya by Country Life after I eat and Wholezyme by Whole Foods 2x's a day. I have tried using Garden of Life's Primal Defense (probiotics) but it is still too soon for me. The enzymes have been great!

I took enzymes for about a week, but they made me very nauseaous...I felt worse than before....though the enzymes were gluten-free....I stopped them and haven't tried any since--you might as well try enzymes, though...I think they've helped many. Oh, I took...I think it was: Lipram CR-10....or something like it.

 Because I'm new to this, and I'm also real docile  I need to ask ....

What are enzymes, and what do they do?

I am trying to make sure I only eat gluten-free, but most times, when I've just finished, I still feel like I've swallowed a camel most of the time.

Would enzymes help this???

My doctor told me to take probiotics. . .I forget the exact explanation (this was over a year and a half ago) but they are bacteria that are supossed to help your intestines and such.

You should talk to your doctor and see if they could help you.

I've been taking digestive enzymes for about 8 months (AbsorbAid). They help a lot with the fullness and bloating feeling after you eat. My main complaints have been upper digestive tract gas. The enzymes, along with the gluten-free diet, have helped.

We use Juice Plus and it is 100% gluten free. They have really helped with the health of my family. :D Hope that helps!!

I have been using Juice Plus for about 6 months now and I find that it really works. I am getting ready to order the Juice PLus Complete which is the meal replacement shake. I have emailed the company asking if their products are gluten free and they say all of their products are gluten free, which is great. Hope this helps.

Hi Christyg90,

I get AbsorbAid from my local health food store. I have also found it at Wild Oats, which is a health food grocery store we have in Miami. You should also be able to find it on the internet.

I hope you have good luck with the enzymes, they've definately helped me.

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.

Some interesting articles regarding the use of Zinc Carnosine to help heal gastric ulcers, gastritis and intestinal permeability. I would consult a medical professional about it's use. https://www.nature.com/articles/ncpgasthep0778 https://www.rupahealth.com/post/clinical-applications-of-zinc-carnosine---evidence-review https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7146259/ https://www.fallbrookmedicalcenter.com/zinc-l-carnosine-benefits-dosage-and-safety/

He is. Which makes everything even more difficult. I’m not a believer in “staying for the kids” but I have nowhere to go and it’s not just me, it’s me plus my babies. We live in a beautiful place, lots of land in the country and me and the kids love the place we’ve called home for their entire lives. But Im seeing that he’ll never change, that my kids deserve a happy healthy Momma, and that staying in this as is will be the early death of me. Then I look at the scars covering my entire body…this disease and the chronic stress I’ve been enduring for years that tell me I’m no longer beautiful and no one will ever look at me with interest again. I try self care, try to give myself grace so I can just start loving myself enough to gain strength but the slightest sparkle in my eye and skip in my step attracts his wrath and it all comes crashing ten fold. Life is just absolutely railing me from every single direction leaving me wanting to wave that white flag bc I don’t feel like there’s much hope no matter what happens.
