Hi People,

I hope everyone is having a good Monday. Ok, I need some help. I think I got glutened via cross-contamination last week (symptoms of glutening, but a slightly lesser degree than when directly glutened - does that make sense?) - and I'm ok, going to work and things - so not completely incapacitated. While I'm thankful that this isn't the full out gluten attack, I am just basically sick of being nauseas every damn day!

I'm not hungry AT ALL, and when I force myself to eat, my stomach rebels and I have to sit and deep breathe until the waves pass over so I don't get sick. Sugar totally sounds disgusting to me, so it's hard to handle ginger ale or anything. What do you guys do to combat this? I'm looking for something a little less intense than Pepto and the like so I don't get the big C. There must be something out there that JUST combats nausea, any ideas??

slightly green sansglutengrl... ;(

Don't know why but a banana seems to settle things for me.

I have this same symptom after getting glutened. I stick with foods that sound appetizing (usually salads, fruit, and water) until I feel better. Hope you feel better soon!

I wonder if dramamine would help? Is that gluten-free? I've also heard that B6 vitamin supplements can help.

I have total sympathy. I'm also suffering today. Woke at 2am and couldn't sleep beacuse of nausea. Now I just have extreme tiredness and my inside feels all beaten up and raw. I am drinking a ginger Yogi tea unsweetend and it seems to be settling although I really don't feel like eating. Is Coke gluten free? flat coke used to be good for nausea and my mother in law suggested aloe vera.

I wish I knew what had cc'd me last night. It was lovely food my husband had cooked but I did find the 'old' gluten food wooden spoon in the gluten-free pasta sauce. :(

Hope you feel better. Gwen

Yes, I can totally relate! As far as meds/things to help, the only thing that sometimes helps me are prescription strength anti-nausea meds. I am taking phenergan right now, I used to take Zofran.

I also was going to suggest ginger tea, unsweetened. It may help you. I really don't have much else to say, because I am still getting over being glutened myself, with extreme nausea. :(

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
