Has anyone tried this stuff? It's a probiotic beverage and it's pretty cool. It's effervescent like kefir but it's not in a dairy based product which I love since I am dairy free! the one I am drinking has blue-green algae, chlorella and kombuca. The guy at the store said it was nasty but I don't think so at all! Can't wait to try the other one~ B)

Each bottle has 1 billion live probiotic cultures from the kombucha!

be well!

I love kombucha! It gets pretty expensive, so now I've started making my own.

Kombucha tea.. I used to make this all the time. Most people do not care for it but we love it.

Does anyone have a baby ? A baby kombucha for a starter?

thanks mamaw

Sorry for double post... ;)

Here is how to start a kombucha culture

I found it online...

You can start Kombucha from some kombucha that you buy at the store.

Start with a jar of plain (unflavored with juice or other flavors) kombucha.

Brew some very strong black tea - I used four tea bags for 1 quart of spring water. Add 1/4 cup of sugar. It's easier to add the sugar when it's still warm. Brew the tea for several hours.

Mix equal parts of the brewed tea (room temperature) with room temperature kombucha in a glass container with a cheese cloth cover. Place in a warm, dark place and leave undisturbed. You should grow a baby in about 2 weeks.

Be well!

OK, I learned something new. When I first read your post, the drink you described sounded nothing like the kombucha that I am familiar with, which is a broth like "tea" made from kelp. The following passage explains it all.

This comes from wikipedia.

The name Kombucha is derived from the name of a Korean physician, Kom-bu, who introduced the drink to the Japanese Emperor Ingyō in the year 414 AD as a healing drink. The drink became known as Tsche of Kom-bu (Kombu cha).

To add confusion, Kombucha is a Japanese word denoting a tea-like infusion (cha) made from brown kelp (kombu). This Japanese Kombucha is not fermented and does not contain parts of the tea plant. It is not sweet, but sometimes it is salted. It tastes like a thin soup and it is a favourite food for convalescense of sick persons who cannot yet eat stronger food. The Japanese name for the drink made from the tea plant is koucha-kinoko, which means black tea mushroom.

Please be careful with the Kombucha! My mom drank it religiously for a while and it made her really sick. There are serious dangers in particular to growing your own Kombucha - Open Original Shared Link

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
