Aghhhhhh! Gas Prices

When I started driving gas was 89 cents a gallon....that was only 10 yrs ago.

Amanda, I remember that, too! :lol: I started driving about 13 years ago, and it was about 88, 89 cents. So that's an increase of what, 250% or something? Insane.

It now costs me 65-70 bucks a week just to get my kids to school and back home, and do my shopping (which I always do very efficiently.)

NC has the highest state gas tax in our region- 2-3 times what the surrounding states are.

What gets me is that, of course it's not just increased spending at the gas pump, but groceries also go up because of increased shipping costs, etc. And of course, there's people trying to heat their old houses with gas...

Gas and groceries go up in leaps and bounds, but our paychecks can't keep up with it. Something ends of getting cut somewhere...

Right now in Lahaina (on Maui) it's about $3.98 (plus taxes). I'm headed home now (outside of Salem, Oregon) where it's about $3.30.

I WISH we could take public transit!! Since we live in a small town, there isn't anything. And DH works 14 miles away!! He does carpool home from work though. That helps.

      What would you do - neighbor brought gluten-free pizza from Papa Murphy's

      When the pizza was dropped off she told me it had a Udi's certified gluten-free crust. Even so, I am trying to play things as safe as possible for at least the next 6-months. I used Clear Eyes 1% NAC lubricating eye drops for several years until the FDA forced them off the market.  In 2015 I had cataracts in bofh eyes.  In 2019 my left eye was clear, right eye was improved.  They are back now.  I discovered new companies with the drops at higher NAC but went with 500 mg NAC capsules.  Spread the cheer 🤓. My impression so far is the NAC is doing good.  Best with meal.

      When the pizza was dropped off she told me it had a Udi's certified gluten-free crust.  Even so, I am trying to play things as safe as possible for at least the next 6-months.  With that said, I returned the two slices to my neighbor and asked her to thank her mom for the pizza.  😊  I will likely bump into my neighbor's mom sometime next week.  She shuttles my neighbor's son, a freshman, to and from high school.  As mentioned, she is very kind so I am sure she will understand.  Heck, at least it went back to her family members and not in the trash.

Yes, I react to gluten free products with corn in them.  Segments of the protein in corn are the same as protein segments in gluten.  So I react as though I've eaten gluten if I eat anything with corn.   I take a combination of Thiamine B1, Pyridoxine B6 and Cobalamine B12 together.  These act as a pain reliever as good as any over the counter pain reliever.  They won't hurt the stomach like aspirin or acetaminophen.   Thiamine will help nausea, anxiety, constipation, and headache.  Pyridoxine B6 and B12 will help with the pins and needles.  Magnesium helps work with thiamine to relieve symptoms. I also take a B Complex to boost absorption not absorbed from foods.  Niacin B3 helps with the anxiety, too.   Best wishes.

      I APPRECIATE you validating everything because this is a nightmare and the only reason why im fighting is because I don't want future generations to deal with this bs and medical should take responsibility for their lack of actions. Autoimmune disorder aka " food allergies " should be a mandated reportable disease for the safety of the patients.
