I've been wanting one of these so I broke down and got one. I took some Gluten Free Pantry muffin mix and used that as my batter. I rolled them in powdered sugar while they were still hot. The kids and I had them with our tea and coffee and they were so, so good! There is a learning curve on getting the flipping right but it is not too bad. I'm going to make mini corndogs for lunch! I have a feeling we'll be eating lots of "puffs" the next few days.

That pan looks really neat. I saw it at Target couple weeks ago for $20 and almost got it but didn't.

About how long does each set take to cook?

Thanks for posting about it....you will have to keep us updated on how things turn out

I tried my for a while. Pamela's Pancake mix with orange marmalade, but the lemon curd was the best.

I had a hard time using the correct amount of filling so it wouldn't leak out. They tasted great, though.

Let me know how the mini corn dogs work. I really miss "pigs in a blanket".

I've made pigs in a blanket with chebe, it works really really good. Gotta use one that calls for cheese though, the all-purpose tastes wierd.

 wow!! Do I have a recipe for you!! I have made this several times.. even 4 timed the recipe just so I could have it in the fridge.. I have made pigs in a blanket (and took them with me to a baseball game) just plane Crescents and also cinnomon rolls!!! OH yeah I also made pizza crust with this... a little flimsy but awesome... here you go very versatile

Crescent Rolls

1/2 stick butter (note - that is 1/4 cup), room temperature

3/4 cup small curd cottage cheese(I did not have any so I used sour cream

1 cup gluten-free flour mix (I used Pamela's baking mix)

1 tsp xanthan gum

1/8 tsp salt

1/4 tsp cream of tartar

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 TBS sugar

In the bowl of your mixer, combine the butter and cottage cheese. Add dry ingredients. Mix until a ball of dough forms.

Wrap in plastic wrap and chill 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On lightly floured piece of parchment paper, roll the dough into a 14 inch circle. Cut into 8 triangles (really easy with a pizza cutter). (to do this I sprayed a piece of wax paper with my oil spritzer and then layed that on top and rolled)

Roll each triangle from wide end to tip, turning ends to form a crescent shape. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake 20 to 30 minutes.

I have one, the kids LOVE it! Mine is the cast iron, it only takes a few minutes to make a batch, little longer than making pancakes, but fun. I make berry compote for the kids to dip them in instead of syrup.

To use them easier, spray with cooking spray between each batch and I use those wooden skewers you can get anywhere to turn them so I don't burn my fingers--tried toothpicks-doesn't work!!

I never thought of using them to make corndogs--my kids will be all over that-thanks for the idea!!

So does anyone have a good recipe for corn dogs in this thing? Would a regular corn dog batter work? My kids would go nuts over something like this! I have had a hard tome finding a good recipe that doesn't flop in it. The GFP mix works the best for me, too.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
