A+....which explains my tendency to be an over-achiever  I think we have determined that Celiac does not discriminate!

Is anyone tabulating these responses  We could do medical science a real favor here :D

Anyway, I'm another A+ (don't I wish I could have said that back in my school days!). And another Heinz 57 (mostly German/Danish, with a smattering of Irish, Scottish, Austrian and Slavic).

B's certainly seem to be in the minority.

I'm pretty sure we are related somehow...I mean, like we both have mothers, right? Just kidding, but we do share the same blood type and your heritage is almost identical to mine..except that there is some french in mine as well and the traditional 'my great, great, great grandmother was a cherokee princess' schtick! LOL

Well, I would love to be able to claim that I am part of a family that can produce babies as beautiful as the one in your avi.

Actually, you just reminded me that there is also some French Canadian back there, too. And my sister used to claim some indian blood when she was a kid... but that was just because she had dark hair and skin, while I was a white-haired blondie.

Of course none of my heritage is unusual for the the city I was born in. I believe half the inhabitants could claim the same heritage, all in various percentages :)

A+ (yay for overachievers!) mousey hair that shines goldish/reddish in the sun, green eyes, Euromutt (mostly German with a healthy dose of Scottish, Irish, English, and Nordic thrown in).

So far I see a number of green-eyed, reddish brown haired celiacs here, which describes me as well.

Thank you! That is my newest granddaughter.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
