Hmmmm I was trying to say that having fillings isn't equivalent to having mercury poisoning.

I'm sure there's a long list of possible causes to your symptoms.

Didn't you say you had the white tongue?

With Candida, eating foods that feed it causes all sorts of mental issues, including brain fog/"stupidity" & ocular migraines etc.

Getting well may involve peeling layers of illness away, so peel away! :)

If at some point you begin to think that "that little piece of bread" might be lots more powerful than you can imagine then you know this site is here to help and support you with that. :)

I don't know of any mercury sites but perhaps others do. :)

As to the onset after your tonsils there are all sorts of contributing factors to tipping from wellness into illness. I suspect that food additives contributed to your hyperactivity but that is just from watching my own nephews and nieces on sugar and MSG in the chips and .....

tom, please go to youtube.com, and type in "smoking teeth". ive known my symptoms for a long time. that makes me very angry that there are still some people who haven't heard the full extent of my story. countless doctor visits, hours every day in the library, test after test after test. tom there's a wonderfull story to be heard! just ask and i'll tell you, im sure it'll blow your mind to hear a 19 year old who, for all intents and purposes, has it all and should not be depressed, become his own doctor after years and years of depression. why, it could be a f$#%in movie!

i read that mercury can cause candida but im going in circles, 1st thing's first. i know what the problem is , scientifically, and it's a gut feeling. im just gonna go with it and i'll tell you what happens next monday. but man, it's gonna hurt. i know it.

ok ill schedule a test but i didn't feel any different gluten free...i hope i don't have celiac. it'll be too hard to avoid it for a life time. ok. here's what i'll do:

but in exchange i want to talk to someone who has been poisoned, long term, by mercury fillings and has overcame it.

Knowing what I know about both, I'd MUCH rather have celiac than mercury poisoning!

I'm curious as to why you came to this site if you were convinced it was mercury in the first place- don't take that offensively, I sincerely am curious.

It's worrisome to see you put all your eggs in this one basket.

I agree with this and what Rinne said- peel away at the layers and DO NOT give up!

well it was a matter of check and test, a LOT of checking and testing, and basically the only thing that remains that is totally plausible to my symptoms is this. i just wish i stumbled upon it sooner, or at least a smart doctor tell me. its really sad, but then again they just did they're best.

thank you so much guys!

Mr. Moore,

I'm not certain you've given the gluten-free diet a long enough trial. And I truly feel you could benefit from trying the Failsafe diet also. I mean, you may need both, from what you've posted elsewhere about MSG.

You might need to deal with the mercury too, I don't have any knowledge on that topic, but have you been tested for heavy metals?

best wishes

thank you so much guys!

You are very welcome. :)

I learned through being here that just knowing there were people going through what I was going through, being sick and alone and afraid, made an enormous difference. I found that just knowing others wished me well made me feel better and that wishing others well made me feel better too. :)

The vision problems you describe sound an awful lot like ocular migraines.

I get migraine auras w/out the head ache--they are called scintillating scotoma.

Is this what you experience Open Original Shared Link ?

i don't understand why know one believes this could help. ive done all the work in my head and ive been to countless doctors and given countless diagnoses and drugs. ive found a reason for all of it, so why i can't i get some kudos?

besides i could be psychotic and would switching foods really help that? i am not saying i am psychotic but i do wonder sometimess, (ive been given anti psychotics. deep down my thought process was just fine, but my vision was still weird and creepy and i still had noise in my ears, which made me think i was crazy.)

besides i KNOW it won't cure my depression or anything, but i have read so much on how it mercury messes with people. my mom's friend had a friend with MS who got a lot of relief when she had her's removed. not that i have ms but...you know.

i guess mostly im dissapointed at how people who believe in diets, food allergies and msg couldn't throw a bone to a desperate guy. has anyone here gotten their fillings replaced?

Mr. Moore, I don't see here if you answered the question, are you still gluten free or not? Diet is huge here. I did not stop the ear ringing until I was gluten, soy, corn, lugume free for a few months and I still have an ear tube in the left, that constantly needs replacement because it falls out and my ear remains plugged 24-7. I have an appointment again this week, because my new tube (one week old) is plugged or something. Your talking to someone who has the same ear and eye symptoms as you. Trust me, it could be your diet, believe it or not. I have old mercury fillings too, but my ears stopped ringing and the visual is much less now. I do "Oil Pulling" for detox of mercury and to heal my gum disease. You might want to google it.

I had a very rough month after diagnosis. No exaggeration, lost so much inflammatory weight, I looked like a bag of bones, underneath i had been literally starving to death. I did start feeling noticeably better after a month of very strict control of my kitchen and home. What are you eating for breakfast and lunch? I ignored my doc and ate oats, yes they were gluten free, but some brands are at the higher end of gluten free. Lots of celics can eat Bob's Red Mill gluten-free oats, but not me. I can now eat them, but they have to be grown and processed according to the "purity protocol" methods. I mail order them, Montana Gluten-Free brand. A food and symptoms and activities log can be helpful in tracking down issues. You might be totally aware, but I have to mention about the risk of airborne gluten. As the doc that diagnosed me warned . . Remember eyes, ears, nose, and mouth all lead to your stomach and intestines.  Are you getting any cross contamination? Airborne gluten? Any pets eating gluten (they eat it, lick themselves, you pet them...)? Any house remodeling? We live in an older home, always fixing something. I've gotten glutened from the dust from cutting into plaster walls, possibly also plywood (glues). The suggestions by many here on vitamin supplements also really helped me. I had some lingering allergies and asthma, which are now 99% gone. I was taking Albuterol inhaler every hour just to breathe, but thiamine in form of benfotiamine kicked that down to 1-2 times a day within a few days of starting it. Also, since cutting out inflammatory seed oils (canola, sunflower, grapeseed, etc) and cooking with real olive oil, avocado oil, ghee, and coconut oil, I have noticed even greater improvement overall and haven't used the inhaler in months! It takes time to weed out everything in your life that contains gluten, and it takes awhile to heal and rebuild your health. At first it's mentally exhausting, overwhelming, even obsessive, but it gets better and second nature.

Hi,  I care for my seven year old daughter with Celiac. After watching her for months, I have figured out that she has problem with two kinds of fats- animal fat and cooking oils. It basically makes her intestine sore enough that she feels spasms when she is upset. It only happens on days when she has eaten more fat than her usual every day diet. (Her usual diet has chia seeds, flaxseeds, and avocado/ pumpkin seeds for fat and an occasional chicken breast.) I stopped using cooking oils last year, and when I reintroduced eggs and dairy, both of which I had held off for a few months thinking it was an issue of the protein like some Celiac patients habe mentioned to be the case, she has reacted in the same fashion as she does with excess fats. So now I wonder if her reaction to dairy and eggs is not really because of protein but fat.   I don't really have a question, just wondering if anyone finds this familiar and if it gets better with time.  Thank you.

Hello, My name is Chanda and you are not the only one that gose through the same things. I have found that what's easiest for me is finding a few meals each week that last. I have such severe reactions to gluten that it shuts my entire body down. I struggle everyday with i can't eat enough it feels like, when I eat more I lose more weight. Make sure that you look at medication, vitamins and shampoo and conditioner also. They have different things that are less expensive at Walmart.

Thank you so much! I saw some tips around the forum to make a food diary and now that I know that the community also struggles with corn, egg and soy, the puzzle pieces came together! Just yesterday I tried eating eggs and yes, he’s guilty and charged. Those there are my 3 combo nausea troublemakers. I’m going to adjust my diet ☺️ Also thank you for the information about MCAS! I’m from South America and little it’s talked about it in here. It’s honestly such a game changer now for treatment and recovery. I know I’m free from SIBO and Candida since I’ve been tested for it, but I’m still going to make a endoscopy to test for H. Pylori and Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). Thank you again!! Have a blessed weekend 🤍

Yes, I, too, have osteoporosis from years of malabsorption, too.  Thiamine and magnesium are what keep the calcium in place in the bones.  If one is low in magnesium, boron, selenium, zinc, copper, and other trace minerals, ones bone heath can suffer.  We need more than just calcium and Vitamin D for strong bones.  Riboflavin B 2, Folate B 9 and Pyridoxine B 6 also contribute to bone formation and strength.   Have you had your thyroid checked?  The thyroid is important to bone health as well.  The thyroid uses lots of thiamine, so a poorly functioning thyroid will affect bone heath.
