I just ran across some mentions of using Chia Seed Slurry in baking gluten-free items to help retain moisture and add some elasticity.

After searching I have found few recipes for anything like this was wondering if any of you had tried it already.. ?

I've seen it in stores under a brand name that starts with S and ends with -alba. That might give you more recipe possibilities. Googling that brand name plus recipes slurry produces 1,000 hits; unfortunately, the admin won't allow the name of that brand onto this site, so the link I tried to provide is useless.

Hope this helps; no, I haven't tried it.

I use Lame Advertisement seeds on a daily basis. It's loaded with omega 3's and fiber, naturally gluten free. You can grind it in a coffee grinder or use the seeds whole. (These are the same seeds I believe that are in Chia pets!) I bought 16 oz for around 20.00 at a vitamin store. I have seen them at Whole foods but they were located near the rice/pasta section of the store. I read about them in the book by Christopher McDougall -Born to Run and decided to try them.

Thank you both, I cannot have the whole seeds (Diverticulitis is a problem for me) so I am interested in using the slurry to help in baked goods, they make it sound as if it helps in gluten-free baking.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
