Anyone else having a SuperBowl party? It's right around the corner! What's on your menu?

We are trying to mix up our "usual" menu and come up with some new ideas......we will be keeping it all gluten-free to keep things easier.

Here are some ideas:

nachos, tacos, quesadillas

fried mozzarella sticks with marinara

Weird but great - cream cheese balls with green olives in the center rolled in crushed walnuts

Chili

Chicken wings

ordinary veggies & dip, cheese cubes, chips & dip, tortillas & salsa

Green Goddess veggie dip (search for Green Goddess on the forum and it will come up)

Mini corn dog muffins (make mini cornbread muffins and put a small chunk of hotdog in the center before you bak; really make it look "fancy" by drizzling plate with ketchup and mustard before you put the muffins on it)

Have a great party!!

Lisa Mentor

I have made a very large pot of "Blazing Saddle Stew" :P

Ground beef

Quartered slices of Kielbasa

Three types of canned beans

Tomato Sauce

Green Pepper & Onion

Dried Mustard

Worcestershire Sauce

Crushed Red Pepper to taste.

With a very large salad (with gluten-free croutons)

And REAL cornbread that my friends are happy to bring.

Pamela's Chocolate Cake, vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce.

ALL can be done a head of time so you can watch the game (ooops, the commercials)

I'm making meatballs in the crockpot. Usually I double the recipe.

Slow-Cooker Cocktail Meatballs

Meatballs:

2 lbs ground turkey or beef

1/3 cup ketchup (I use Annie

mushroom Proficient

My sister is having her annual party and I am bringing pepperoni pizza dip with tortilla chips for dipping, glutenfreegobsmacked.com's jalapeno popper dip (i haven't tried that yet, but sounds good!), rice chex treats, and chocolate rice chex treats.

Um. WINGS! Is there any other superbowl food? I think not! And some gluten free beer if I can find it. Okay, maybe some nachos thrown in. Think they'll notice if I use rice cheese instead of cheddar? :)

WHO DAT?

Red beans and rice with a big salad and tiny cornbread muffins for half time.

As snacks: any hearty chips and dip (We're talking about Man food here)

toasted pecans

roasted peanuts in the shell

I know women watch the Super Bowl and love football, especially thte Saints around here. But I do cater to the men for ball game parties. I'll fix "frou-frou" another time.

Doesn't matter what kind of food is served, just as long as the SAINTS win!!

Go Saints!

Let's make that "Geaux Saints!" (Sorry, Yankees, it's a Cajun thing)

They both do.  The peanuts add nutrients to the treat. Tootsie Roll: Sugar, Corn Syrup, Palm Oil, Condensed Skim Milk, Cocoa, Whey, Soy Lecithin, Artificial and Natural Flavors. But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver. After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
