We are going to HP this weekend. I've read all their gluten-free info on the site. I was just wondering if there are real people out there who have tried it. Is it any good, is it easy to find, are the employee's knowledgable when it comes to CC????

thanks a bunch!!!

You absolutely can trust it. Look up on their website for menus of places, or search gluten free. Many places have gluten free rolls for your sandwiches or burgers. You'll have to wait a long time for yours because they cook it separately and make sure you're taken care of. I've been multiple times and I work for Hershey and can honestly say that I trust the food in the park (per the website recommendation) whole heartedly. Obviously, be wary of fried foods that would share the same oil but I got a Turkey Burger in the water park and it was delicious.

I got a gluten-free pizza there last year and it was GREAT! It was huge, the crust was awesome, and my gluten-eating teenager loved it too. I had to wait a little for it, but it was well worth it. I was really surprised, since I wasn't expecting much, but I'd eat it again anytime. I asked them about the crust, and they said it's D'Iorio's. I looked it up, but apparently they only supply it wholesale to restaurants.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
