A month off gluten and I seem to be getting worse instead of better right now. I have started having very pale and/or green stools. My stomach is back to being extended and hard. I have constant nausea and constipation. I am very light-headed and break a sweat after even light exertion. I am having baby migraines and find I feel exhausted after eating, having to take naps during the day. I lost my job when I first got sick with colitis and prior to DX 2 months ago and before I could go on disability. I was hoping that this would be a quick recovery and I would be back to work soon, not needing to apply for anything, but it doesn't look that way. I was wondering if anyone else has had to go on disability during their recovery stage and what the process would be, as I am currently unemployed in California.

Also, I am having sharp pains under my left breast and a feeling of distention there though my doctor tells me both my liver and pancreas are functioning perfectly and my cardiologist tells me my heart is in perfect order. Really baffling....

I am eating only whole and fresh foods I prepare myself. Would not dare put anything in my mouth I haven't personally prepared right now. Plus, I've gone over all my household products and supplements to make sure they are gluten-free.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

i BY NO MEANS have your answers... but im just gonna think outloud.. your SPLEEN is under your left breast- can your doc check to make sure it's ok? or swollen?

the color of stools & the nausea makes me guess Gall Bladder/Liver.. maybe stones?

??? now, you have to stay under the doc's supervision on this- i don't want you to ignore anything serious...

if they still cant help u- maybe u would be interested in some Chinese Bitters.. maybe Liver flushing (but flushes can be a ROYAL PAIN in the A)

i like 2 products at:

www.sensiblehealth.com

The "Chinese Bitters" help with digestion & liver toxicity

and the "Gold Coin Grass" helps soften & dissolve any gall & liver stones... they're not bad for u at all- unless you're having an ulcer at this very moment. you just follow the instructions and read all their paperwork

but of course make sure your doc is on top of it. hope you get it all squared away

These symptoms are VERY much what I had when I had gallbladder problems. Be sure they check you out, I had to have an ultrasound to see what was going on with my gallbladder. I ended up having a laproscopic removal and felt better as soon as I woke up the day after than I had in weeks - even with the incisions and some aching! In my case, it's good we removed it - there were tears in the lining and a ton of little stones which mean the attack probable would not have subsided on its own.

Hope you feel better soon.

My gallbladder perforated and was removed 10 years ago. I am starting to think I have some sort of duct problem. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.

Have you talked to your doctor about the possibility of getting temporary disability? That should be your first step and then go in to the SSI office and talk to them. You may qualify but if you don't try talking to Social Services and see if you can get some help from them. You may be able to get some help with foodstamps etc until you are able to go back to work.

TY, I have an appt with a new doctor this week at a clinic that has a lot of my medical records from the past when I was out of work for my long bouts of diarrhea. I am going to ask them about disability.

you said on an earlier post that you had your gall bladder removed in the past- its very possible then, that your liver is tired and sluggish.... so i guess your doc needs to check your liver make sure everythings ok.... in the future, as long as your liver is healthy- those tinctures i mentioned can help.... or eating a lot of lemon & olive oil... apples and radishes to help clean the liver.... or juicing beets with other juices.... but of course check your liver status with your doc first- because some of these remedies can be hard on the liver if it's tired or sick.

good luck :)

So there was no physical, plastic card involved, correct?

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.
