I'm interested in the Wen haircare system. I emailed them and will let you know if I get a response....

Has anyone else emailed them?

Purely from a product point of view, I used this line and did not like it. It's expensive and didn't do anything special for me, and I needed help bad. My hair was in poor shape from nutritional deficiencies and thyroid problems. I found better luck with John Master's organic line (styling products), and Desert Essence Organics Coconut shampoo and conditioner...available for $7 each at Wholefoods and clearly states its gluten free. I get compliments all the time now on the shine and health of my hair...I NEVER thought that would happen again (before gluten issues, my hair was so beautiful and easy to deal with).

I ordered these products a while back but had to send them back. I don't remember if it was wheat or soy protein in them that made them a no go for me. Companies do change ingredients though so please post their response when you get one.

Thank you both!! I'll look into the others you mentioned!

I have it, I actually love it. It's the only 'shampoo' that helps with my scalp psoriasis. It is, however, FULL of wheat, so watch out! I don't use it as a leave in conditioner and I use it in a separate shower that my kids use.

What is the best gluten free scanner app? I have the "gluten-free Scanner" app. I scanned an almond joy and it says it contains gluten when the package is labeled gluten free

Certainly, it would b wise to have a gene test done if your physician is open to it as it would provide some more data to understand what's going on. But keep in mind that the genetic test for celiac disease cannot be used as to diagnose celiac disease, only to establish the potential to develop active celiac disease. About 40% of the general population possess one or both of the primary genes known to be associated with the development of active celiac disease but only about 1% of the population actually develop active celiac disease. So, the gene test is an effective "rule out" tool but not an effective diagnostic tool.

Had Quaker gluten-free oatmeal last night and my stomach is a mess today. NO flu but def stomach stuff. Anyone else?

So you would be good with the diagnosis and not worry to check genetics etc etc? Appreciate your words!
