I'll definitely be looking for this!

I just bought it yesterday @ the grocery store. The recipes look amazing! Can't wait to try some them!

I purchased my copy last Monday (Dec 20) at a local grocery store. There are from scratch recipes as well as some that use the Betty Crocker gluten free mixes.

AzizaRivers Apprentice

Just a warning about the recipes that use Betty Crocker "gluten-free" mixes...I'd be wary of using them. I know many have eaten the mixes without any problems, but I get terribly sick, glutened, from them and I know others who have the same experience. I'm always skeptical of mainstream companies that try to jump on the gluten-free bandwagon.

Takala Enthusiast

More likely a soy reaction from the soy flour or the cross contamination.

Bette needs to ditch the soy in the gluten free mixes. <_<

Obviously if you've gotten sick from them, it's important for you to avoid them. I think it's impossible for any company to come up with a gluten-free mix or product that doesn't have an ingredient or two in it that someone will react to.

I am very happy that a mainstream company like General Mills has jumped on the gluten-free bandwagon as it means I can find products in regular grocery stores and not pay an arm and a leg for them. Small town, USA, just doesn't have a wide range of shopping options.

How much does this new cookbook cost? I think that will be a determining factor if I will buy it...as if I need yet another gluten-free cookbook (and I hate to admit that I do have some on my wish list at Amazon). tongue.gif

I paid $10 for mine.

Not a bad price! I'll have to look for it and hopefully have a chance to glance through it before buying, if I figure it's worth it.

I can not find this. Granted I only looked at one store. Is it a book? Or a magazine? If a magazine, is it the small one like the size of Prevention or Reader's Digest? Or is it a full sized one? Does it use the mixes? Thanks!

It's up with the magazines @ the checkout. It's full size. It does use the gluten free bisquick mix.

Thanks! Not sure it would work for me because I can't have eggs. I have the Bisquick but haven't tried it yet with the egg replacer.

I think the problem here is that none of the stores seem to have stocked most of their magazines for whatever reason. I normally buy the new weekly ones on Friday although some of the stores here do not stock theirs until Monday. I did get Life and Style but see no other new ones out. My mom subscribes to People and she said she did not get a new one at all this week.

I will try to go to the store again tomorrow. The new magazines should be out. Maybe I'll find it then.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
