Are there any of you out there that get frustrated and tired of dealing with food all the time and having to think about what you can and cannot fix and eat. I've had Celiac for about 9 years six years undiagnosed with anemia and then with capsular endoscopy viola Celiac.. Simply there are time that I just hate food-and subsequently I go for the easy stuff that has sugar and I drink alot of coffee. Would appreciate some input..

My heart goes out to you! I am new to this forum with Fibro/undiagnosed celiac..

however testing foods.

I get so SICK of rotating foods, trying this..not that..bending over in pain...

exhaustion...

etc...Now, I am trying to do rotation diet for my son with milk.

All i can say is..."AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

I am with you!!!!!!!!!!!

I SERIOUSLY could go raw food easily. Smoothies, salads/DONE! However, I have

a child and a hubby to think of and it complicates it.

I have no clue yet if mine is gluten/dairy...both....neither...or something

odd like apples! LOL...but something is KILLING me, and has been for years.

So, you are not alone! As I try to make lunches for my son with no dairy..

and then add things back in. I don't know what works, and what is not.

It is one huge pot of CONFUSION soup!

So, I feel your pain and I am exhausted from it all too.

BTW, how did the pill cam work? was it easy to swallow?

May need to do that.

Hang in there!!!!

I've been at this for over five years. I know what you mean, although for me it's frustrated about eating out. I hate having to think about where there is a place with a gluten-free menu or feeling like a scene from When Harry Met Sally.

Eating at home and shopping is just habit at this point. If I'm tired/lazy I grab produce, cheese, peanut butter, potatoes, that kind of thing. I never have to bother with labels in the produce section and can shop "normally", whatever that means. Sugar is bad news for me, so I tend to avoid it.

Yes, I do get frustrated. Like today when I saw a new (to me anyway) frozen food that looked safe. But a scan of the ingredients showed that it contained wheat.

Or when the other mothers tell me to send my daughter to Subway or McDonalds or the teriyaki place for dinner when she is at the dance studio. I wish! Would make it sooo much easier.

I also worry about what's going to happen when she moved out on her own. Some of the gluten-free foods are soooo expensive!

I've only been gluten-free since August, and most of it is getting to be 2nd nature for me, but some days I do get frustrated. I love the Food Network cooking shows. On bad days I sit there and think, "can't eat that, or that, or that...". Or, if I smell something someone made at work that smells sooo good, but I know I can't eat. Most days are not bad days and I have found ways around most of my favorite foods and gotten used to gluten-free breads, so usually "Life is Good"....but there are days! :(

You could always strive to be the person at work who causes envy with their lunch...

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
