I am travelling to Anaheim next month. Which peanut butter and yogurt can I buy for my daughter that is gluten-free?

Also is the Udi's bread available in regular supermarkets or do I need to go someplace like WHole Foods?

Thanks!!

I have never seen any peanut butter with gluten in it.

Most brands of yogurt are gluten free. The only yogurt I know of that is not is Activia--says "may contain wheat" on the label. Maybe a few other types that have things like cookies or granola in them would not be safe but it would be obvious. Yoplait brand is pretty mainstream and I think they say gluten free on the label.

Udi's is in other stores around me but I don't have a Whole foods anywhere nearby (and I'm no where near Anaheim). You might want post a separate question with "Anaheim" in the title to get the attention of anyone familiar with that area to fidn out what your gluten-free options are.

I have never seen milk that has gluten in it, unless you are asking about milk substitutes (rice milk, almond milks, etc).

It is US law that companies must label wheat, but they don't have to label barely, oats or rye. So the chance of hidden gluten ingredients is small (but still possible). If the ingredients look ok then most of the time they are.

I think we are very similiar to Canada. Milk is fine. I hae never seen a PB with gluten. Yoplait says gluten-free on the package if that makes you feel better. I think there is a whole Foods in Anaheim. There is a PF Changs near Disneyland. I ate there twice when we went.

Mybe UDIs website says what stores sell it.

Albertsons is a big grocery store chain in Calif. They have some gluten-free items. Check thier website, maybe call before you go and ask about the bread. The items they carry can change from month to month.

I have been glutenized by Dannon yogurt in the little cups.

Chobani is safe. It's best to check the label for a certified gluten free stamp.

Yoplait is gluten free? :o I did not know that.

Yoplait is the yogurt I go with also. You should also be able to find Udi's bread pretty easily. Are you going to Disney? If you are know they are a very gluten free friendly place. Have a great trip.

I just wanted to add I use Jiff peanut butter without any problems. IF you're looking for jelly- Smucker's is gluten free, too. You can find Udi's at some Wholefoods or another specialty store. I think it really depends on where you're going in the US. For me in Pittsburgh, PA I have to travel a good 40 mins to get Udi's Bread, but it's worth it.

Have a wonderful trip! :)

I've never heard of anyone being glutened by yogourt, Dannon or otherwise, unless it was ones that have obvious gluten items it in (oats, cookie topings). However, most folks stick with Yoplait because they confirm the gluten free status! As for milk and peanut butter, I've never heard any issues with gluten in these prodcuts either! I prefer JIF crunchy :)

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
