Feeling So Much Better- And Happier

Its amazing how things can seem so dark one day and the next day- wham. Things get bright again. Well, today was my day. I started off the day the way that I usually do- with a job hunt (I spend about 1 hour on this every morning while the baby is asleep). I got a lead and submitted an application. Then, the most magical thing happened. Like, 2 hours after I submitted the app, the manager called me and said that with my qualifications they had another position in mind for me, and could I come in Thursday for an interview!! So, things were looking up.

The second thing was, this was the first day that I didnt crave wheat. Its going to sound stupid, but I almost feel like I was addicted to wheat. Bread was like, my staple and I feel like I was literally jonesing for it, like it was a cigarette or something. (I know thats silly). But not today. Not even when we went to Costco and there was only one sample I could have. Didn't bother me.

Then, the final ray of sunshine- after dinner, my sister asked me if I would like to go with her to get some ice cream for the family, so I could pick one out that was safe. She also apologized for the other morning.

All in all, I am feeling pretty good tonight. Now, if I can just get that job, things will be golden!

Great to hear. Good luck with the job. That the manager called you so quickly is a good sign. Sounds like things are looking up.

That's great! I'm glad you had such a good day. All the best with the job.

i think you can be addicted to wheat. i think you can have withdrawal going off it. bread is the staple in the us and some other places. aw yay that your sister tried to be supportive and help get a treat you could have. i agree it is great to be free of daily intestinal revolt and skin problems. best wishes on the job hunt!

Thankyou yes I read up on it beforehand , because or my trapped nerve when I have a bowel flare up it's impossible to keep still  which I will have to do for the MRI ,and it's so painful , and I know if this is what I'm thinking it to be it will cause me terrible issues , sometimes I get to the point where I just want to diagnose myself and act accordingly, because I've been at this year's , and I clearly have all the symptoms , it's so frustrating when you have all this going in and still feel no further ahead 😳

It looks like "mannite" is another name for "mannitol": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mannitol You are correct that it can trigger IBS-like symptoms, as we recently did an article on this: I'm not sure if there is a way around this, as it is likely needed for the test. Perhaps contact your doctor to see if there might be an alternative?

Oral drink: You will be given a solution of mannitol mixed with water to drink over a period of about 30-60 minutes this is what it says it is ,?

Brilliant thankyou for the information I will contact them tomorrow, I was just concerned because I'm already in a bowel flare too , and I didn't want to take anything that would cause me more issues , especially with the way sweeteners make be feel I've had a really bad throat from this type of stuff before , and it upsets my digestive system too and I have a wedding in a week 😳
