Not sure Dave. Will have to get Scott to comment on that question.

Wondering because, Facebook although a social network, their pages can also be used in a business sense.

I have several, mostly interaction sites with other users, but taking it a step further a Gluten Free supplier could have a facebook page with products mentioned, free advertising !!!!!

My own take would be that it possibly falls within the rule on self promotion.

Best Regards,

David

We asked Scott, and his reply was, "FB is a personal web page...so the answer is it would break the rules."

He added, "They can link to it in their personal profile area...which is where they should share their personal links/sites."

yeah dave ! actually facebook is a social networking site and fb have allowed people to create their fan pages for celebrities or for the use of their promotion of the product . so i think their is no issue with link for fb , i think you should read the faq,s of fb ..

The rules being discussed are the rules of this forum. not facebook's rules. Our rules say that you cannot link to a personal webpage (as on facebook) in a post -- the link has to be in your profile. You may mention this profile and that it contains a link in your post, but you are not permittted, as Scott (the owner of this site) has decreed, embed the link in your post.

Congrats! Can you share the recipe? We just picked up a bread maker from an estate sale and are experimenting.
