I'm not sure if you all know about this (I didn't until Twitter exploded about it a couple weeks ago!) but May is Celiac Awareness Month. We get our own month :D

I've been contacting news stations and papers suggesting it as a feature. Talk to more people about it. Start a blog and share your story with the interwebs. Or just continue to be an awesome support community :)

A local chain of stores which keeps dieticians on staff is having a series of events to educate people, including cooking and baking classes. On top of that they're having month long sales on all sorts of goodies. I know where I'll be shopping all month! I'll get to try so many things I've thought of trying but just been too cheap to bother with out of fear of spending so much money on something that sucks.

I'll get to try so many things I've thought of trying but just been too cheap to bother with out of fear of spending so much money on something that sucks.

Some of the online experts are hosting a 10 day gluten free blog hop with neat giveaways.

      Thank you for all the excellent information. I moved from Wyoming to California. May be its where I am located but So far none of the Costco Kirkland brand I have looked at is labeled gluten free. Same with the Sam's Members Mark. The Kirkland nuts you mention all say they are processed in a plant that processes wheat. I am going to keep checking. Thank...

      I’m glad you have a clear answer. Some endoscopes have enough magnification for the doctor to see the damage during the procedure.

      I could not find the thread, but I recall at least one user who was drinking regular gluten beer daily but getting celiac blood tests done often (I think it was monthly) and doing a biopsy each year and all celiac disease tests were always negative. Everyone is different, but in general regular beer would be considered low gluten (not gluten-free!). I have no issues with Daura Damm, but those who are super sensitive might.
