Rudi's Tortillas

Just wanted to share that my kids and my gluten-eating husband really liked the new Rudi's gluten-free tortillas - we tried both regular and fiesta. I always hate to buy new products for fear they won't be liked and it will be a waste, but these were a big hit!

I tried them on vacation and loved them! I've asked my local organic market to order them for me. I warmed them in the oven wrapped in foil. They were much more softer than what I've tried, i doubled checked to make sure it was gluten-free.

Wow. Sounds hopeful. I will hunt for them and give them a try, thanks for the info! We only have one store that carries much from Rudi's, and I've never seen the tortillas. I'd about given up on tortillas.

My husband is Mexican and loves his handmade flour tortillas, which I've always made for him. I hadn't made any in 6 months so did some for him a couple of weeks ago. I didn't eat them, but ended up with stomach cramps for two days. I don't know if it's random or if it really was related to having flour everywhere in my kitchen that day, but I'm afraid to make them again!

I can't wait to try Rudi's tortilas. I used to eat (and by eat i mean force down the Food for Life ones...bizarre texture, dry and hard)So I have high hopes for Rudi's since I like all their other products.

I've been looking in Whole Foods but they aren't carrying them yet. A small local gluten free store will have the spinach and regular in on 4/10 - can't wait! We go camping 3 days from then and they will be great to take with us, especially for on the go lunches.

I was making fajitas a couple weeks ago and stopped by the health food store for tortillas. I saw the Rudi's there and was pretty excited but noticed the Food for Life ones cost half as much so got those instead. Huge mistake, those things are nasty. I'll definitely be getting the Rudi's next time I want tortillas.

Welcome to the forum, @Jay Heying! What is the reason your doctor is recommending this?

Hello everyone, this my first time to this website and I need some help. I’m 65 years old and have been living with Celiacs for about 15 years. My doctor has suggested I start taking a probiotic named  Integrative Pro-Flora-Concentrae. Has anyone else used this probiotic specifically? If this one isn’t celiac friendly can you recommend another please. Thank you.

If a Celiac person is successful in following a gluten-free diet, they can go into remission.   They may not have a reaction to gluten without a precipitating event like an injury or infection or even emotional or mental stress.   Following a strict gluten-free diet at home, then indulging in gluten containing products abroad without a reaction can be explained by this remission.
