Anyone have a homemade Tortellini recipe?

The weather is cooling down and my daughter was asking for my Tortellini soup. I did make it but put dumplings in it. It's just not the same.

Yes - I have several great pasta recipes. Are you looking just for the pasta or are you also seeking filling ideas?

Both I guess. A cheese filling would be great. Thank you.

Sorry this has taken so long. It's been a busy few weeks!

This is the delicious pasta recipe I use...

What kind of cheese filling? Ricotta?

Thank you so much.

Yes a ricotta would be perfect. Thank you. :)

I'll let you know how it turns out.

Sora, I do not use a recipe but this is what I do:

Drain the ricotta very well. Add some lemon zest and freshly-grated nutmeg. Nutmeg is very inexpensive and a few go a long way. Add some grated Parmesan (NOT the fake stuff!). Season with salt and pepper. Sometimes I add an egg, other times I do not. If you want it very creamy, just put in your food processor or blender.

Thank you so much. I have fresh whole nutmegs and parm too.

My daughter thanks you too. :)

And here I thought I was the only one who puts nutmeg in her ricotta fillings. (I also put it many egg dishes like quiche or fritattas). I should have known you guys did it, too! ;)

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.

Hi Colleen H,   I suffered with the pins and needles/burning feeling in my legs and feet for at least  6 years until my Nephrologist figured out that I had to go on a low salt diet.  He said my kidneys weren't strong enough to remove the salt.  The simple fix was a diuretic, but that med leaves the uric acid behind, so that wasn't an option.  On the bright side the low salt diet lowered my BP over 20 points and and the pins and needles/burning feeling went away.  Good Luck and hope this helps.

Yes this is very frustrating for me ... not sure what to think.  Feels like I'm having reactions to a lot of things  Now applesauce?? I don't understand 😞

I did ... But aren't we going to be vitamin deficienct if we are not eating due to being sick ?? If the food we eat is gluten free and we have other sensitivities , how do we get out of the cycle??  Thank you
