Worried about being isolated
I am a teacher in a primary school diagnosed with celiac disease 7 months ago. I eat my lunch in my classroom and pop into the staff room for a drink and a chat with colleagues after. Welcome to the forum, @DJBC! Which IGA test did you get done. From the magnitude of your score (336) that sounds like a total IGA score, not a tTG-IGA score. Total IGA is a test for IGA deficiency, not for celiac disease per se. The centerpiece test for celiac disease is the tTG-IGA. Thank you for all of these helpful answers! I really appreciate them. I typically eat 2 eggs every morning, so I'm going to stop those, in case the iodine is an issue.
