I make home made pizza every week, spaghetti... (with tinkiyada) and no one ever knows the difference. I make pancakes for all of us. I do have different butter containers for me... -

gheidie replied to susanm's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease

I do not buy any premade stuff except for an occasional pack of hamburger buns (I have not tried to make thos yet) and I do use tinkyada pasta I order online and pamelas. I mix my flours (buy when on sale) and I bake a ton!! (probably too much) I love to cook, and... -

Hi, I have been gluten free since Aug 1st 2006 (took a good 6 months to achieve 100%) and I am feeling so much better. I know when I have gotten a hold of gluten, my symptoms come back quicker, and even just the slightest amount bugs me now. ARCHIVED Gluten Free Pantry Cake Mix Question
gheidie replied to disneyfan's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
hi, I don't use mixes, I find them expensive. I have a recipe for an awesome chocolate cake that I make ALL the time, and no one can tell it is gluten free, I am at work right now, but I can get you the recipe when I get home. Also I use Bette Hagamans(sp) recipe for corn bread and it is awesome also. But I agree I would add sourcream or yogurt. -
ARCHIVED Do I Need To Replace My Pizza Stone?
gheidie replied to wildkat's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
ok, I used to be a pampered chef consultant, and I have a lot of stones..from pre gluten free. And they are all well seasoned, and yes I use them all with out a problem. If you are worried, and you have a self cleaning oven, you can "kill" anything on your stone by putting it you oven and running the self cleaner cycle. I don't know what I would do... -

I have used rice wrappers, they are a bit fragile, but yes you soak them (I did one at a time also) and then I made spring rolls. I brushed them with olive oil, and laid them on a cookie sheet sprayed with olive oil. Then I baked them until crispy. Much easier than frying and they turned out really good, my son helped me and my whole family would like... -

Be careful when ordering an omlette... I found that some place mix in a bit of pancake batter to make it more "fluffly" so if you do order an omlet be sure to ask if they do this. Otherwise do the egg beaters or fried eggs!
