ARCHIVED Can Anyone Offer Help For How To Find A Good Restaurant Where I'm Traveling?
killernj13 replied to slee11211's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
If you have a smart phone or Iphone there are plenty of Apps that will allow you to search for gluten-free restaurants based on your GPS location. -
ARCHIVED Blue Bloods' Jennifer Esposito Tweets about CBS Treatment Relating to her ... - IVCPOST
killernj13 replied to Scott Adams's topic in Publications & Publicity
OK - I know I will get killed for stating this but WTF? If she is following a gluten-free diet why wouldn't she be able to work? Sounds like it is indeed a negotiating ploy that CBS called her out on. Just my opinion. -
ARCHIVED Tropicana Trop 50 And Tocopherol
killernj13 replied to WhoKnew's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I'm a little more alarmed that the same ingredient is in OJ and skin care products. LOL -

Savannah Guthrie is no friend of ours. I have stopped watching the Today Show. Google the clip of her rolling her eyes and calling celiac disease a "trendy" disease.

ARCHIVED Anyone Catch Rock Center Last Night?
killernj13 replied to AfterAll's topic in Publications & Publicity
I will not watch the Today Show anymore because of the way they treated Ann Curry, but to make it worst they replaced her with Savanha Gutrie. Who when doing a story on gluten free foods rolls her eyes and called celiac disease a trendy disease. This does piss me off as well when it is called a fad diet. -
ARCHIVED Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins Snack Size Gluten Free?
killernj13 replied to coffeeaddictfish's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I have seen holday shaped Reese's with wheat listed and others without. Read the labels. -
I recently saw on the Udi's facebook page that they state they have rolled out their rolls in Yankee Stadium. Now I have only been to one game this year so I may have missed it but I don't reclass seeing Udi's in the past. I know they have Red Brige and gluten-free pizza. Has anyone seen the Udi's and if so where is it? thanks

ARCHIVED Going Out For Drinks - Help
killernj13 replied to Minstinguette's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Most hard ciders are gluten free (not sure about the corn). These are Magners, Angry Orchid etc. They are apple based so I doubt there are grapes. -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free In Vegas
killernj13 replied to ohio nanny's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
I went to Vegas in November - here are some of the places I ate. Todd English P.U.B - outside the Aria - had Strongbow Cider. Server was very knowledgeable of gluten-free choices informed me of the carvery station they offer (no bread obviously) and what sauces were ok and not ok. Checked on the soup my wife had (Butternut squash or something like that... -
ARCHIVED Ice Cream Truck/snack Bars?
killernj13 replied to LindsayW's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
GoodHumor.com list the ingredients for each bar. Looks like most of the bars with coating and krispies are no good for us. -
I agree that the meetings are very important.
-
You can do the online for tracking and still go to the meetings.

ARCHIVED Frito-Lay to Brand Gluten Free Products - NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
killernj13 replied to Scott Adams's topic in Publications & Publicity
There is another post on this with a response from Frito Lays stating they did remove the wheat. However, I believe they still have the "processed on same lines" wording but do wash the lines in between. -
Should apply to Domino's "gluten-free" pizza also.
-
Panzones and Calabria near Beach Have had gluten-free pizza last year. Hope they continued it. Haven't gone there this season as it just started. Buckalews in Beach Haven as well has a gluten-free menu. The gluten-free crab cakes at Boulevard Clams are very good. But pricey.

ARCHIVED Beer!
killernj13 replied to Pegleg84's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Greyhound - what brand of low gluten beer did you have? If it is the Spanish one (Estella - I believe is tne name) I reacted to that big time. Red Bridge is my favorite but I was a Bud guy in my pre Celiac days so I am not a beer snob. No offense to those that are. I tried two of the varieties of New Planet (non Raspberry flavored)and they were OK... -

ARCHIVED Hershey's
killernj13 replied to Lisa's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Birdie - the seasonal shaped ones in the past did contain wheat for some holidays. I always thought it may be needed to mold them into the shape. I always check the label before eating a seasonal PB cup and recently they do not include wheat. The Hershey website does state this list is not all inclusive and that other items could be gluten free. I assume... -

Go to the Red Bridge Beer website - they have a tracker where you put in the zip code and they will tell you were it is carried in liquor stores or bars / restaurants
