    Rafferty's in North Conway is near Storyland -- I would definitely try there. Also, fyi, Storyland has a lot of allergy info right on their website about what is in their foods.

    Where did you get that information about cornstarch? If a box of cornstarch simply said "cornstarch" as the ingredient, where would the gluten from wrbo be?

    I used a Chebe bread mix (I forget which one) to make pig in the blankets, and they came out really well. I cut the hot dogs into small pieces, like the appetizer size -- if you left it whole, you could probably turn it into a "bagel dog".

    Was the tub of margarine that you used only used for gluten free food? Otherwise, maybe it was cross contamination with the tub of margarine itself -- if the tub of margarine is used to spread margarine on regular bread, then it is likely that small crumbs would end up in the tub.

    Abrusci's in Denver is an Italian restaurant with an extensive gluten free menu -- they even serve gluten free bread with the meal. I think that there are quite a few options in Denver and Boulder -- check the website of the Colorado celiac support group.     I recently called Zone, and they do say that a number of their bars do not contain ingredients containing gluten, including the new forumalation of the caramel crunch and the fudge graham.     We're going to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon in a few weeks with our two teenagers. I know that there are lots of options in Vegas. We are camping in the GC, so some meals are covered. However, we will need some additional restuarnat options near the South Rim entrance and in Williams AZ -- any suggestions? Thanks so much.

    A number of Paul Newman dressings are gluten free, including Caesar -- they are listed on their web site. Also, a number of Ken's Salad dressings are gluten-free. Again, check their website. www.kensfoods.com for their gluten free list. A lot of restaurants use Kens.

    Be careful about Hersheys -- although they say they give an accurate list of their ingredients on the product label, they no longer hold themselves out as disclosing all gluten on the label -- only wheat.     Have you communicated with the tour company about food restrictions yet? Since your group is small, they might be able to make a lot of accomodations if there is sufficient warning. For example, maybe they can bring some extra pots/ pans that can be used just for your husband's meals, or can plan to have some gluten free options at different meals. Also...

    Which setting do you use to make Pamela's mix in the Zo? I'm about to purchase some of these mixes from Amazon (a great price -- 6 for about $20)? I've used the quick wheat setting in the Zo for other mixes -- have you ever used this setting (about 2 hours plus) for the Pamela's mix? Thanks.

    Lots of times the fruity drinks are made with standard mixes. Can you e-mail the company to ask what brands they use? Or maybe check the common brands beforehand (e.g. Cuervo, Mr and Mrs. T, Master of Mixes) so you have a list of what mixers will be safe.
