  1. Any chance if you know if this is something Whole Foods carries? I saw that stuff just yesterday on a online allergy ordering site but I'd rather get it now than wait to order it.
  2. I got this one from www.gfcfrecipes.com It works great but when I just recently tried to sub the marg for coconut oil it didn't work.... Spritz Cookies 2/3 cup sugar 1 cup margarine 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/4 cups rice flour blend 1/2 tsp xanthan gum 1/2 tsp salt Preheat oven to 400 F. In a large mixer bowl beat sugar and margarine....
  3. Ok so far I have no had luck with it when I am attempting to make some form of roll out dough. I can't even get it to form a dough ball it is just all crumbley. What am I doing wrong? Or is there another fat/oil I can use that also has no soy or soy oils? But is still Gluten-free Casein-free too. I can get things to work with earth balance but...
  4. How do they test for bacterial dysbiosis ?
  5. I will have to google that. The doctor did mention she thought it might be somthing that would require antibiotics but I don't like giving meds on a maybe answer so I told her she would have to prove to me there is an infection or parasite to give meds.
  6. Hummm, how does one get that much air in the tummy to cause bloating? You mean gas???? Like what did they suggest taking?
  7. nope no bean flours here....we do brown rice, tapioca mainly. And we avoid soy. He doesn't eat legumes and hasn't had p'nuts in quite some time. He does he a good amount of corn products though????
  8. yeah that's what she's looking for too. He's been off all dairy since May and off soy as well.
  9. Ok my 4 yr old has tested inconclusive for celiac on the blood panel, he doesn't have the genes but does have double set of gluten sensitve gene.....He's been off gluten for 8 months, off casein for 6 months and off soy for 2 months. Eatting has improved, weight has improved, rash is gone but his constipation is still here (when he goes off his miralax meds...
  10. I am not a coffee drinker so I can't help...but you could bring your own treat to eat along with your coffee??? Whole foods might be a place you can grab something and walk across the parking lot to starbuck to sit and grab a cub of java???
  11. both of you email me offlist and I will get your info to our group. We haven't met regularly and I'm not certain we are meeting anymore this year. I think we could have a monthly parent support meeting but we need more than 2 people a month for the group to keep going. I think the next time we meet isn't until January. Janel
  12. yes there is one so far we have only met bi-monthly and no more meetings this year but if you email me off the list I will send your email to the correct person for an announcement. I think the next thing we are doing isn't until January maybe, I'm not sure. Janel
  13. Our son isn't offically dx celiac but is gluten/casein and soy intollerent via tests. My husband was also in denial too. But once I took charge of the food our son ate and he saw the improvements in his overall health, appeitie and clearness of rashes he understood this was something he could no longer be indenial about. I always send his food with him for...
  14. enjoylife makes some gfcfsf chocolate chips which I use to eat, bake with, melt down and they are yummy. Open Original Shared Link
  15. sounds interesting...too bad I have a possible corn allergy otherwise I might buy some.....but a great idea of a product I'd love to see it in action.
  16. Ok so here is what happened and they did explain in to me once we got there but I was unsure exactally what. The only reason they put him to sleep was to place the angeotube (tube that goes in your nose down your esophogus and to your tummy). This tube was hooked upto a med called go litely. He also got an IV for fluids too. They kept him for a day and a...
  17. Well my son, age 4, has a long battle with constipation and being impacted. ALL other remidies have failed us over the past 3 + years. Our GI contantly has us do a clean out by having him drink large amounts of magnsium citrate...but he refuses to even drink a sip anymore. So we are now, Monday morning going to be admitted to the hospital for the GI to do...
  18. I found it interesting that many people mentioned soy isn't good for you and we don't need it on the Miralax thread. I'd love to read more about why? Is it all soy (like soy flour, tofu, milk, soybean oil..etc) Oh and I just found out I tested + to Soy on Dr Fine's testing, I may test my son too. Here is my post about the situation with my son: We've...
  19. I am finding this thread very interesting....because of the soy people are mentioning. We've used Miralax for years before it became an OTC. I hate the stuff because I have seen side effects in my child that are not common nor are they listed as one...slurred and speech regression, issues with sensory.....we started it back when my son was 1yr and he is...
  20. Save the Date. . . Sacramento Area Cel-Kids
  21. I would offer mostly fruits and veggies because as you know when they get older they often refuse to eat them!
  22. The last time I called the Log Cabin syrup only the Country Kitchen of Log Cabin is gluten free. I know it was only 1 or 2 months ago that I called. Is it this one you are reffering to or the regular Log cabin? Gosh we use it almost daily here.
  23. I have somewhat of a different experience. My preschool son is in a federally run preschool and they are required to provide all meals, even those with allergies. Well I let them accomidate us and I was very disapointed.....one day which made me really mad is I found out they had been serving my son baby rice cereal when everyone had oatmeal...totally not...
  24. well couldn't you just take the lactaid pill and then since you are nursing it will transfer to him? You might wanna double check if it is safe to take while nursing before you do so. I would think avoiding dairy would be the safer and easier solution then taking a pill. My son and I are both casein introllerent/allergic, meaning we can not have anything...
  25. My son also has many of the issues your son has. We did an MRI and found out he has some damage to his brain(cerebral palsy) in the area that controls speech & sensory. If you haven't done so already I'd recommend a neurologist visit with an MRI. Janel
