  1. wow! I think that's the highest I've seen anyone post here. I hope you are feeling better now.
  2. I have it in a pump bottle and use it in the shower. I rinse it off because I don't like the oil feel on my skin. I also use it as hair conditioner and moisturizer. I buy in bulk at Costco
  3. Well I hope you get the job You might want to check out your medications, etc. too and see if you can come up with anything. I've been using just olive oil to wash my face for years. It's cheap and easy!
  4. Have you had your antibodies checked recently? That would be a good indicator that you're still getting exposure from somewhere. If your antibodies are still elevated then you might consider a gluten-free kitchen for a while. Allergies, thyroid issues, etc. can also cause acne.
  5. I picked up a tub of Jungle Shortening the other day and was curious if anyone has tried it? How does it compare to Spectrum and have you had any issues with it? The ingredients are (this is exactly how it reads): 100% Organic Hexane free Palm Fruit oil, cold pressed, high oleic sunflower oil. There is also a statement that says: Processed in...
  6. I've never heard of a bad experience with Disney Cruise Lines. You might check with them. I understand they are quite dedicated to this.
  7. You might try contacting this person and see what they have to say: Open Original Shared Link I'm currently researching South Africa because I want to visit so please let us know what you find.
  8. I contacted Road's End Organics recently about their Chreese products. I asked about their manufacturing processes and if they test their products for trace amounts. Here's what they had to say: Thank you for your email. Here are the answers to your questions: 1. The gluten-free pastas & Chreese and the gluten-free Chreese envelopes are all made...
  9. Jennie's Macaroons are available individually wrapped.
  10. Excellent point. Soy and dairy drive me nuts. I feel contamination for 2 or 3 days. There are so many gluten-free products that bother me because of other intolerances. I should've said products that have never given me a gluten, dairy or soy reaction.
  11. touche Laura! cupoftea - here is a thread on Clubhouse that might be helpful: https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index.php?showtopic=36571
  12. You can never go wrong with McCormick - all of their extracts are gluten-free and they will clearly label any gluten in their products. Another vanilla extract that is gluten-free is Nielsen-Massey. Many store brands have gluten-free lists so you'll have to contact the store if extract isn't listed to be sure.
  13. I am super sensitive and the manufacturers that I trust and use almost daily are: Namaste, McCormick, Living Harvest, Chebe, Cause You're Special and 365 (provided it's made in a dedicated facility). I've never had a gluten reaction to any product from these companies. I'm sure there are many others out there. These are just the ones I like.
  14. I hadn't thought about the corn thing. That's a good point. I generally avoid corn. I don't get a gluten reaction from tomato products but get heartburn and have never been able to pinpoint exactly why it happens. Thanks for the tip on Pomi - I'll look into those. GlutenGal - to answer your question. Most sauce doesn't hang around long enough to get...
  15. I wouldn't be too concerned about your abnormal CBC results. It's quite common to have one or two things that are slightly off on the CBC. I would recommend reviewing the results with a new physician and see what they have to say. If your bloodwork is 4 years old I would also recommend another workup before getting too concerned.
  16. There is a product called Open Original Shared Linkthat is gluten-free. I haven't tried it but a few people here say it's good. Odd question but have you tried fresh tomatoes? Many processed tomatoes and sauces have citric acid or other additives that can cause problems. I haven't found a single processed tomato product (tomato paste, sauce, etc....
  17. I'm not sure about the gluten thing but definitely bring your own crackers. I had one a few years ago before going gluten-free and remember being given crackers with a pain pill when I was in recovery. I was still really groggy and don't think I had the mental acquity to refuse them. The prep nurses were not the same as the recovery nurses. Good luck...
  18. This list may be helpful: Open Original Shared Link I'm not sure about the drug you mention but would suggest you give Sandoz a call and see what they have to say about it. Manufacturer numbers can be found here: Open Original Shared Link
  19. I haven't heard of any issues with Vicoden. It's on the gluten-free drugs list: Open Original Shared Link Good luck with your surgery!
  20. This list is handy and will help you out: Open Original Shared Link From the list: Acyclovir (Teva, Roxane,Schein, Novapharm)
  21. I also recommend Tasty bites and Thai Kitchen. You can also buy a food dehydrator and make a few things. Dehydrated vegetables weigh next to nothing.
  22. Hi Greg, Here is the list of gluten-free Emeril's products. Enjoy! Open Original Shared Link
  23. This doctor is more correct. A positive biopsy will definitely confirm celiac. There are other reasons for flattened villi and the one that comes to mind with B12 deficiency is parasites. Did they just look for parasites or did they run any tests? Often parasites are microscopic and may not be seen on visual inspection. The other doctor is wrong...
  24. Hi bobbyj, It's very important to know if your b12 deficiency is caused by pernicious anemia or malabsorption. If you have pernicious anemia your body lacks things (intrinsic factor) that are necessary to properly absorb b12 through your digestive tract regardless of how much you swallow so you will have to get it in other ways (usually as an injection...
  25. I get twitches from time to time too and it drives me nuts! My doctor suggested a magnesium supplement to reduce the spasms.
