  1. I am a big fan of Open Original Shared Linkdry mixes. Open Original Shared Link has quite a few yeast-free recipes that are also dairy and soy free. I use water in place of milk in bread recipes. For butter, I use olive oil. You could also use coconut oil, dfsf margarine, or Spectrum Palm Oil Shortening.

  3. Some people have issues with yeast so maybe he's just sensitive to the yeast. Does this happen when you use other types of yeast? Red Star and Fleischmann's are gluten-free. RED STAR
  4. How about ground flax seed?
  5. Here's a link to the Trader Joe's gluten free list: Open Original Shared Link
  6. Canned beans don't agree with me so I stick to dry beans. If I have to eat canned beans I do best with the 365 ones that don't have citric acid. I think it's the organic line.
  7. Hi - A lot of people recommend Wheat-Free, Gluten-Free Cookbook for Kids and Busy Adults by Connie Sarros. You could also try Amy's rice mac and cheese, Ian's gluten-free fish sticks and chicken nuggets, and Van's wheat free waffles.
  8. I have a Open Original Shared Link and love it.
  9. Processing in the same facility or on the same line doesn't necessarily make a product not gluten-free. It's more about the manufacturing practices of the company and the steps they take to prevent cross contamination. Most companies that label their products as gluten-free test the products to determine if there is any gluten present and label based on...
  10. Am I a nerd if I'm Dexter? Ok, so I really am a nerd but Dexter?
  11. I fall into the barely category. I had what most doctors consider normal labs but had dramatic results when I started taking Armour. (my TSH was 3.8) I can't really say that I've noticed any negative side effects of Armour. I'm not sure about the adrenal question though so maybe someone else will chime in on this one.
  12. LOL! Yes, the whole is it healthy question kind of goes out the window when you can only eat 12 things! BTW the Cause You're Special cake mixes are awesome. I am pretty sure you can use egg substitute.
  13. Hello carecare. The Wal-Mart Great Value brand has many items marked gluten-free and some stores carry gluten-free specialty items (flours, bread mixes and such). Also, some of the gluten-free Bob's Red Mill line can usually be found at regular grocery stores.
  14. It's not exactly heathly but the Open Original Shared Link will work. At the bottom there is a note for pure white icing that uses shortening and water. You can add cocoa for chocolate frosting. Spectrum Palm Oil Shortening is gluten, dairy, soy and egg free.
  15. I can't think of any chips or tortillas that are made in a fully dedicated factory. The 365 brand carries a warning for dairy but nothing about wheat so it's possible they are made in a dedicated factory. I bought a cast iron tortilla press and make my own now. Here's a link to make your own: Open Original Shared Link
  16. It really depends on the regulations of the country that you are entering. Packaged food should be OK and I've never had a problem with anything sealed. It's the organic matter that isn't - produce, meat, etc. If you bring cooked food for the plane you have to dump it before clearing customs. There are usually signs and amnesty bins on the way to customs...
  17. Tim, I too have been searching for a specific product that has gluten and I have yet to find one either. I am curious about the molding material ravenwoodglass mentioned. 3M is the only brand I've seen used for any of the molding/impression material so far.
  18. Mission is made on dedicated lines but I don't think the factory is gluten-free.Open Original Shared Link
  19. I'll add Oraquix to the list and also this list from Clan Thompson. Dental Products 3-M Multi-Cure Glass Ionomer Band Cement: Manufactured by 3-M Dental Products, Orthodontic. Gluten Free: Yes. Vegetarian: Unknown. Verified: 11/28/07. 3-M Transbond XT Primer: Manufactured by 3-M Dental Products, Orthodontic. Gluten Free: Yes. Vegetarian: Unknown. Verified...
  20. Open Original Shared Link is rice, nut and gluten-free and made in a dedicated nut-free facility.
  21. Kirkman Labs also makes a great gluten-free pre-natal. Open Original Shared Link
  22. I'd also recommend a food diary. Many people have delayed reactions so even though you got sick during a meal it could've been from something you ate earlier in the day or the day before. For me it's right at 24 hours and I always eat at the same time so it a food diary to figure out that it wasn't what I'd just eaten that made me sick.
  23. I stick to sashimi but I'm a sucker for a good piece of fish. Most imitation crab is not gluten-free so I would avoid ordering any crab unless you can see it being made and verify that it's real crab. Elonwy, that's interesting about the nori. I never cared for it but will pay attention to that because I'm curious now.
  24. The range for the lab one of my doctors uses starts at 3.8 so doesn't seem like it's low enough to worry too much. It could be that you have less inflammation in your body now or like Gemini said a sign of immune issues. Did your doctor say anything about it?
