  1. "Eclectic Insitute" Is the brand my health food store carries for tictures, I use a few when I get a cold and they have organic grape alcohol, not grain alcohol. And the Ecover is not actually shampoo, i use their dish soap AS shampoo.... Not sure if I made that clear before....... That's why it's so cheap.
  2. My family's actually quite tired of hearing about 'bathroom patterns'....
  3. Good call.
  4. Mmmmmmm love psgetthi squish. I use pasta sauce and browned bulk sausage, mmmmm.... I like EM makeup too, only too lazy to use it most days. Love their moisturizing balms, a bit greasy, but so pure ingredients and I got the lavender smell, yummy.
  5. It gels. I would not omit. I've used it before.
  6. They're talking about normal milk with the lactose taken out, not an alternative milk. In answer to your question, joyful, I think you got glutened, but I would lay off the milk until you feel better anyway, THEN try it again with gluten-free cereal.
  7. Hee hee, cow pies...... The melted choc chip shortening mix is also what I use for dipping things like strwberries or pretzels, it works quite well. Stays stuck on what you dip, instead of breaking off in pieces.
  8. It depends on the person. I'm sick for a month, some people for a day. You'll see hwat happens as things go on.
  9. Yeah, I'll be going to see my chiro later to get my mojo cracked. Not only am I getting over a yucky head cold, I've just gotten me monthly visitor friend there that gives me CRAMPS! Great timing......
  10. I recently had the Pacific Foods carrot cashew ginger soup, it's dairy free and BOY was it creamy! And quite yummy as well. And gluten free, it says so right on the box! I'll keep thinking of foods that are creamy. Sorry, I'm not dairy free, so I'm a little out of the loop on this one. Oh, and the BRAND Rice Dream isn't safe, they use barley in...
  11. Oh, right, facial wash. I use my shampoo, which is the E.cover chamomile and marigold scent dish soap, I LOVE what it does to my hair and skin. I feel so clean and soft, I do sometimes need a moisturizer in the winter, in which case I use E.very.day miner.als moisturizer, the lavender I think. Watch out for the Eco.ver, the Lemon Aloe or something one has...
  12. I've actually found a line of grape alcohol tinctures, oh joy!
  13. Preteens????? You're a CANNIBAL!?!?!?!?!? AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! Just kidding. Anyway, I had that hunger for a long time before going gluten-free, and for about a year after. I used to wake up in the middle of the night and have to eat again. I was truly underweight and undernourished, though, most people aren't that severely damaged and won't have the...
  14. Except that your pets lick you all over and drywall and drywall joint compound make a whoooooole lot of dust (trust me on this one) and then you breathe it in. And then you swallow your snot and bammo.
  15. Yeah, what the crap???? How come everybody else got to see him?!?!?!?
  16. Quite the entertaining sillie, no less. That was freakin funny. I wanna know how many heads they had to chop off before they came up with that number. How do you get people to sign up for a test like that? "Hey, uh, we know we're supposed to do the needle thing, but we're goin old school and we're just gonna chop your head off and see how long it takes...
  17. Vitaminc C. Hyssop tincture. If you've got lots of stuffy nose and chest congestion, Eyebright tincture will help drain it. Wild cherry bark extract helps me when I'm sick a LOT. It tastes good too. Yogi throat comfort tea has lots of beneficial herbs for illness. Homemade chicken soup. Make your own tea from crushed ginger root, lemon juice, and honey. Honey...
  18. I'm an organ donor, it's on my license. as far as I know, all the major organs that can BE donated don't really have anything to do with the immune system, unless they wanted to donate my lymph nodes or marrow or intestines post-mortem or something..... I can't picture that. I would imagine aheart or lung would be fine. Who can we ask about this, though?
  19. I never pulled tricks on Halloween, I was too busy trying to get candy. Last year, however, someone did toilet paper the trees out front of our house. I was coming home and noticed it, and thought to myself, "Is that Charmin? Charmin Ultra Strong? Ooooo boy, if I was your momma you'd be DEAD, BOY!!!!!" Or girl.... Is it sad that I recognized...
  20. Ask for advice before subbing coconut for anything, it behaves very differently than the other flours. You can sub sorghum flour one for one with rice.
  21. Try 'sucanat' Here's a link: Open Original Shared Link
  22. In my experience, the only gluten-free flour that should be sifted is coconut flour. It changes how the flour behaves, and you should always sift it if the recipe says to. It also depends on the recipe. If it says 1 cup flour, sifted, then they want you to measure one cup of flour, then sift it. If it says 1 cup sifted flour, they want you to sift then measure...
  23. Hahahhahahha ha ha ha !!!!!! You're on the dentist's short list. heehheehhehe!!
  24. We do the same thing. My boyfriend's family is genetically incapable of shutting up, so I have to tell him to go away when I need to turn my brain off for a while. Hints don't work good on him. "Honey, go away, I need to turn my brain off." "Ok." If I just start reading, he'll just keep talking.....
