If he still gets reactions while on lactaid pills, then he may be sensitive to casein the milk protein. I used to take the maximum amount of lactaid and then some and I would still get a reaction. I assumed that I was probably...

  3. I would say that the average time for people to feel better on the gluten-free diet is about 3-4 months. I personally noticed an improvement after 6 months and I felt almost 100% better after 1 year.
  4. I used to get severe stomach pain while I was working on my master's (I believe the pain was from gluten). One incident lasted almost two weeks and the other was only for a day. The pain would hit with no warning while I was at university and it was so intense that I couldn't move sometimes and I could hardley breathe (Very embarassing when you're in front...
  5. Almond Breeze has soy in it, I believe. Natura has a rice milk with no soy, dairy, or gluten.

  13. I am actually confused about the safety of soy, that is why I provided the links. I have found that some articles say that soy has negative effects on humans; however, I have read that soy can actually be good for humans, such as reducing the risk of cancer. I mean if soy can prevent cancer, then why wouldn't I eat it! If I'm not intolerant or allergic to...
  14. I'm sorry that you were at school when you were in pain. That has happened to me so I can sympathize. If you find that you are getting worse, I would suggest getting allergy and/or intolerance testing done and I would also suggest getting tested for chron's disease.
