  1. I have never heard of those studies. Interesting how these studies are not publically advertised. I'm hoping that Monsanto doen't continue to market those soybeans. Do you know?
  2. Almond Breeze makes vanilla, chocolate, and plain almond milk. Natur-a makes vanilla and plain rice milk (They also make soy milk). Both products are gluten and dairy free.
  3. Well I glad that no one else has noticed a problem with them. I don't feel quite right after I eat them and I'm hoping it's a dairy contamination and not a gluten contamination. I haven't had them in a while.
  4. I was sick off and on like that for about six months on the gluten-free diet. My symptoms started improving after six months, but I never really felt 100% better until approximately one year after I started the gluten-free diet. There were problems during my first year on the diet, such as dairy and the fact I was eating gluten-free Humpty Dumpty chips that...
  5. If you have been 100% gluten free for 6 months, then I would think that the dh would have subsided by now. Maybe you are having allergic reactions to something else?
  6. I think that you should check the ingredient list. Good point!

Here is some information on the the test that came back positive: ANTI - GLIADIN ANTIBODY, IgA : Gliadin IgA is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of Gliadin IgA antibodies in human serum. 10. Are you allergic or intolerant to casein? Wine can contain casein.
  11. How about getting the celiac gene test? Then you will know for sure if they have the celiac gene or not. If your doctor won't order one, then you could order one from enterolab. Open Original Shared Link
  12. Welcome! This site is so helpful. The gluten-free diet can be hard at first, but the diet will get easier with time. I am gluten and casein free so if you need any recipes or meal ideas just let me know! I'm sorry that you are feeling sick from gluten. Do you have any ideas on the source of gluten? Most of my accidents have been from cross contamination...
  13. I'm sorry I think that you are making the right choice my going gluten free after everything that you have been through. The fact that you had a positive blood test says something. Which test came back positive? You could get a gene test done to see if you have one of the celiac genes. I read on here not to long ago that a doctor dignosed someone...
  14. You can find really some good recipes in gluten free cookbooks. I randomly tried one the other week from one of my gluten-free cookbooks and the pizza was good. I can post the recipe if you're interested.
  15. I think that you should give her the link to this message board. Also, maybe provide her with gluten free product lists, recipes, and meal ideas. You can send her some of my recipes as well: Open Original Shared Link You could also send her a list of the complications of celiac disease: Open Original Shared Link Many people feel overwhelmed by the gluten...
  16. Celiac disease is genetic and you don't even need to have symptoms in order to have villi damage in the small intestine. Since you do have some symptoms and have a nephew with celiac disease, then getting tested for celiac disease would be a good idea. Here is a list of blood tests to ask for: Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG Anti-Endomysial...
  17. Yeah, I wouldn't eat there either. That's really too bad. I sure wish that there was a gluten free fast food place!
  18. That sounds wonderful! Thanks for sharing. So Bosque del Cabo caters to people with celiac disease?
  19. I would guess that the oil may be contaminated from the hotdog and/or hamburger buns.
  20. I was at a Swiss Chalet Restaurant in Nova Scotia and they said the same thing about keeping their rolls and potatoes in the same drawer. I would personally not eat any potatoes (fries, baked or mashed) from Harvey's or Swiss Chalet, unless they store them separately from their rolls.
  21. Thanks for posting that information! Just a note for people from Canada: Lea & Perrins worcester sauce is NOT gluten free in Canada.
  22. Are you intolerant to lactose or casein?
  23. Berry is the one with the cheetah
