  1. The ranch flavour is very good. I am also glad that all the flavours are gluten and dairy free because then I don't have to worry about cross contamination.
  2. Thanks for those references.
  3. I was there before I was dignosed with celiac disease. I can't offer much help with gluten-free foods, but the place is a lot of fun! My favorite rides were the rollar coasters and the white water rafting. If you decide to go on the Batman and Robin rollar coaster, make sure you brace your neck well.
  4. Renee's has some new salad dressings that are gluten and dairy free: Open Original Shared Link Enjoy
  5. I learned about the potential dangers of GMO's in university and I found that you have to do a lot of research to find shocking information, like the information that Tiffany gave us on the soybeans. Tiffany, you don't happen to have a reference for that study?
  6. Corn starch may work. I tried making roux once and it turned out well. This is my recipe: Heat ½ soy butter and ½ gluten-free flour (I used kinnikinick all purpose flour mix) in a small frying pan or sauce pan until the mixture thickens.
  7. I started to notice some improvement after about six months on the diet, but I never really started feeling better until about 1 year on the diet. During the first year on the gluten-free diet, I felt like you and I was getting very frustrated (I am sure you could find some of my old posts of me wondering what was going on with myself). During that time,...

  9. I like Kinnikinnick. I have reacted to Bob's Red Mill flaxseed, so I don't eat their products anymore.
  10. That was all that they needed to say! What was the point in giving you all that other information?
  11. He may be more susceptable to illness during the first year or so on the gluten-free diet. Garlic and onions can help fight bacteria and viruses. Maybe try putting those foods in some of his meals?
  12. I get VH at my local grocery store. Here is their website: Open Original Shared Link
  13. Wow! That's very impressive. I'm glad that you got the allergy tests done so quickly. Sounds like he is a great doctor.
  14. I have heard that before. I guess that is a good thing about having celiac disease!
  15. VH is gluten free.
  16. I can get a rash and I can also get hives when I eat gluten. I seemed to get new symptoms after going gluten free that can be quite intense, such as heart problems and stomach pain.
  17. They could be allergic to pork. Maybe you could ask your doctor for allergy tests?
  18. What brand was the gluten free bread?
  19. Which gluten free processed foods have you been introducing? Some people with celiac disease have reacted to Bob's Red Mill and Amy's. You can get a blood allergy test done for a lot of different foods. I'm not sure if there is a test for intolerances. I would like to know myself actually!
  20. Maybe try a 100% dairy free diet for 2-3 weeks and then try introducing dairy again and see how you feel?
  21. Sorry GMO = genetically modified organisms
  22. When I eat gluten by accident, I can get very bad heart palpitations, heart racing, and heart pain. The episodes can be quite scary. During my last severe episode, my heart was skipping beats, racing really fast and then I would get very sweaty, clammy, dizzy, nauseated, and then I'd feel like I would pass out. I think I even blacked out a few times. This...
  23. Oh yeah... I checked the soy milk that I drink once in a while, at least they are GMO free.
  24. Maybe you could get a celiac gene test. If your doctor won't order one, you could order one from enterolab. Open Original Shared Link
