  1. Yep exactly like that. I had it last year for awhile, and then again this summer when I first did SCD, and now again. Andrea, I have been having the same thought. My mold shots are a tiny amount of the mold mixture, so it is like a mold exposure. This is the season that I have trouble with mold. And then suddenly the shot was too much so like an overload...
  2. Cici I hope this works for you. Since you are gluten-free I am assuming your doctor didn't do celiac blood tests? Maybe you could do the gene tests to see if you have the major genes for celiac? Do you only have abdominal symptoms or other symptoms as well?
  3. Paula, check out www.pecanbread.com Many of the autistic kids are not able to eat dairy so the site has a lot of options for that. Sherry
  4. I know it is really weird. I had some almond flour I brought back with me, and I think the problems started about the time I ran out of it and started using local, but am not sure as it could be something else causing this too. It is such a clear change from before, I thought doing intro would restore the good pattern but it didn't seem to make any impact...
  5. Well, I just haven't found the culprit in terms of the return of symptoms for me, although I do think the almonds (the ones with stuff added) are a problem. I seem to be detoxing too, with a rash like acne but not quite the same, fatigue and fogginess. Not sure exactly what is going on, unless it is mold related. So I am going back to eating my moderate...
  6. Open Original Shared Link Wow, I am only taking 200 mg IM of glutathione a week. I am going to ask my LLMD about taking extra doses when I feel symptomatic.
  7. I wondered that too. Hmm, bile release with foods? Take more binders 1/2 hour before a meal?
  8. I don't have a recipe because I don't use one. But ginger is great sitr fried without soy sauce. One of my favorites is to cut carrots up into fine shreds, and the ginger into a similar shape. Stir fry the ginger first until you smell it then add the carrots. I do this in olive oil. I like quite a bit of ginger, so it penetrates the carrot. Add salt...
  9. Carla, that sounds good about the weight readjusting. Probably all of this is just detoxifying. Very weird about the pain in back and shoulders when you eat. I haven't a clue about that one unless it is referred pain? I am really hoping the Bionic will be the answer for you and for many of us too.
  10. Can you take an antihistamine? That sounds like some inflammation in the Eustachian tube... Talk about scarey! My goodness. Donna I can see why this has captured your full attention lately. I will be hoping with you for the lesser invasive procedure. Sherry
  11. I don't know about adzukie or urad dal. You might try a google search as sometimes there are answers from Elaine in the emails before her death. My impression from reading her emails is that if she had enough information about a food to decide it was on the list. If not on the list, then it is best to avoid unless you do your own thorough research about...
  12. Mia, that's great that it is working well for you. My experiment today using local raw almonds was pretty good. I am bloating is all. I don't care for the flavor which is stronger and more bitter.
  13. Yes, it seems to make a significant difference to many. Traces get into your mouth when you shower (like from your soapy or shampoo. Other things may leave traces on your hands or on surfaces and then to your mouth inadvertently. There can also be inadvertent gluten ingestion from foods even that are marked gluten free that impact people who are very...
  14. April, glad you are being persistent and hope this time it works very well. I occasionally have a bad batch too, but not too often any more. Mia and Cici keep us posted on how things go. Today I am going to try again with almonds, with a local rather than imported variety that is supposed to be raw (I hope.) Eggs seem fine. I miss my muffins so...
  15. Carla, I'll be looking forward to your updates from your trip. With getting the mold exposure out of the way, I am hopeful this will be the last piece to full health for you. Donna, sounds like further food restrictions will be quite an adjustment. Why can this cause diabetes? With fat and carb restriction it will be challenging. I'm another that...
  16. Mia, so glad adding the honey and bananas helped. How far have you progressed on adding foods? Welcome, Cici. Glad to help if we can. For getting started I would plan to cook ahead and have enough stuff for the first week at least, maybe two. Because you might feel some die off and might not have a lot of energy to cook. Also get some starter for...
  17. Donna, sounds like you are going to be "in the pink" while in the hospital and recovery, LOL! Good to get the update, keep wondering when the date will be. Sherry
  18. Yes, the fatty stool and the odor are very typical. I totally agree that you should ask for testing and be sure they do the full panel. Not all doctors know what to order. So print that out and take it with you to be sure you get all the tests.
  19. Kathy, There are many people who fall through the cracks with the insistence on positive biopsy. Some doctors will diagnose on the basis of the positive blood test. That plus the genetic markers are pretty suspicious, and the diabetes is another autoimmune condition associated with celiac. Basically with the biopsy you are waiting for the damage to...
  20. For awhile I was in the same place as you, and it was frustrating. There is a recipe online for making a butter replacement from Spectrum shortening using a butter flavoring. I hope you get enough people to call--it would be great to have a soy free option. There just isn't one out there. I did learn of a Mother's brand that is available around the...
  21. All good advice. Rob would your wife reconsider eating meat? Perhaps she will need to if things don't stabilize. Increasing fats can help. There are some good ideas on the board here using coconut oil for goodies. Testing of fecal residues to see if she is passing undigested fats, proteins and sugars might help. As long as she has been gluten-free...
  22. There are a lot of variables with getting a good biopsy diagnosis. The damage can be patchy, so they may not have taken enough samples or sampled the right place. The thing is, with his symptoms and a positive ttg, the diagnosis is almost certain even if the biopsy isn't clear. A dietary response will confirm. Celiac diagnosis is just not that cut and...
  23. Mia, welcome. I noticed feeling a lot of hunger the first week or two as well. What I did was just not restrict myself to having honey or things made with honey, grape juice and gelatin. The hunger seemed to ease after awhile, and just this week I was commenting to a friend that I am now now hungry all the time and don't seem to "need" to snack all evening...
  24. Well, that's one thing I know I need to address...drinking more water. Carla, the other day when you mentioned taking more glutathione, I thought to myself maybe that would help with my herx this week. It was not as bad as a month ago but had a lot of the fatigue going on for a couple of days. The morning it was the worst I decided to take an extra...
  25. My allergist did testing but I don't think all allergists do.
