  1. My impression is that dressing ingredients vary. I would bet you got soy in it at least. The wheat is a toss up though. I'm glad you can add some foods back in. You might not see immediate responses, especially if it is celiac. Dr. E said she can't pick up celiac just whether the food stresses the body. Sure hope you can all stay symptom free. I'll...
  2. I can't help with the cavitations issue, hopefully someone else can. Glad to see you posting Jin. So sad about your experience on LN. I haven't gone there mostly due to lack of time and energy, but at the same time those reports also discourage me and I too appreciate this forum. Carla, I know the herx confirms you need this medication and also glad...
  3. Jenn, it may take a bit longer to see some improvement at least it sure has for me. I lost quite a bit of weight at the 5-7 month point, while still eating carbs a lot, just substituting gluten-free ones. I was milk free as well (until just recently adding in small amounts). Now after cutting carbs (especially sugar) due to other issues, I am starting...
  4. I'm almost one year gluten-free and still have this bloating issue. It got worse initially after going gluten-free. My sense is that my immune system started waking up after being overwhelmed for so long with gluten. It is better now but still an issue. I was overweight and have dropped a lot just going gluten-free. Now I am cutting carbs due to ongoing...
  5. Yes, we are fortunate when we find one of those doctors. We hope you find some answers. And if it is lyme, you'll be in good company here! Sherry
  6. I think you have a good plan about the biopsy and test. My idea would be to see if you IL would help you do a gluten free diet immediately upon completing the tests and before you get the results. This would be a "test" or "additional information" to take to the doctor. What might happen is a striking improvement in your symptoms that will even amaze...
  7. I like the "bring a hefty side dish" idea, that can be shared with others so you aren't drawing the line fully between self and others. I'm in a situation where it is impossible pretty much to eat in a restaurant, unless I get a bowl of plain rice. I do that when necessary. But we have also ordered take out, bring back and everyone else has that, while...
  8. Perhaps you have another condition causing leaky gut syndrome and leading to gluten sensitivity. So it might be good to look into other possibilities. Parasites maybe? Allergies perhaps. A couple of other possibilities I have read on the forum are lyme disease and metal toxicity, as well as enzyme deficiencies.
  9. Yep, I think a guy that is willing to go out for water sounds like someone worth checking out--friendship anyway. I asked today at the local pharmacy about detox foot pads, and she knew what they were. Said they were Chinese not Japanese! So I'll keep looking. Sherry
  10. Carla, Happy B-day though you'll get this a day late probably. Thanks for the summary and update, I hope you are not discouraged with going back on the meds for lyme and bart. Sherry
  11. Yes, I seem to be doing well on the Natto. Weird thing is, it is the only soy related thing that I tested well to in ART, and I also reacted to an IV infusion that had a tiny amount of soy in it. It has got me wondering though....if it is increasing my sensitivity to legumes and might have increased my reaction to lima beans last week. My allergies are...
  12. 4.5 hours on the bus one way so return trip was 9, plus 30 minutes from the bus station to home and to office so 2 hours there, plus another couple of hours driving around to two offices to do the last part of the visa process. So I was basically riding in a car or bus almost all of yesterday. Left the house at 7:30 and got home at 11 pm. Donna, Paula...
  13. I'm planning to ask around here to see if the foot patches are available. Sounds like they could be Japanese, but still could be available here. It looks something like what Chinese medicine treatment for breaks and sprains looks like. They apply something like this to the skin. Interestingly I am newly on an enzyme that contains the two amylases mention...
  14. BTW, I felt the same way about the OMG thread--too overwhelming to even try! But I was encourage to just pop in and join and I did, and am SO GLAD! I've gotten a lot of help and support there and now I do keep up at least reading the posts but I'd never manage to go back and read the previous posts. Feel free to just jump in and introduce yourself.
  15. I'm fascinated by your posts, won't add too much for now except that I am taking an enzyme for the fibrin issue called nattokinase. I take it away from food (as best I remember!), twice a day. I believe it is helping though I haven't had the clear results you have had. I have done Chinese treatment for detox called Gua Sha, and usually turn black and blue...
  16. Rachel, thank for the scientificness. Haven't processed so I copied and printed hoping to take my time and think on the bus tomorrow. I think that what I can handle is fairly consistent, at least the ART over three months (3 times) was, and my experience is. There may be some ebb and flow but it has been hard to track. Like with the lima bean soup,...
  17. Paula, Nyxie, sorry for the rough times. I'm doing okay, busy with guests for 3 days, out of town and 9 hours of travel tomorrow. This is a must due to govt regulations for renewing my visa. Just hoping to keep my meds straight and not get too worn out. More later and hi to all. Hey Jin! Glad to see you! Sherry
  18. I'm taking 80 mg at supper and bedtime (Jarrow NattoMax), and can go up to 240 mg for each dose. The lower dose seems okay and it is spendy so I might stay there. Sherry
  19. I just can't figure out whether this is an issue for me or not. I do fine on some things on those lists and not on others. The beans I just reacted to are on the list, but I eat a lot of the other things with never a problem. I can take the following: NAC, chlorella, glutathione (IV tested ok but no other form), MSM, certain probiotics--so like 1/2 the...
  20. I did get an answer from Dr. E about the alcohol in the herbal tinctures. She said because I had been tested for these, it would have showed up as stressing me if I couldn't use these due to allergens. She said doing the tapping after I take them could help with any stress they might cause. She didn't really answer about the alcohol and whether it was...
  21. Paula, I'm taking it and doing okay on it. ART at first showed that it was "ok" but not contributing. But the last appointment it showed that I needed it. I think that at first I had just finished humaworm, and my intestines were really clean of the bad stuff. Nothing showed up on ART and Dr. E was surprised. No candida or anything. But this stuff...
  22. Hope this happens soon, Andrea. I am so glad again that he wasn't hurt. The pictures were awful scary. Sherry
  23. Ha ha, I didn't even go looking...I knew it was hopeless.
  24. Maybe it is coming down after the stress. I have really been glad to get back here, actually. Gua sha may have stirred things up although there was not that much stagnation, so I'm guessing it wasn't a major factor. The thing was, I did that in the morning and was just fine afterward. The symptoms hit like 30 minutes after eating--it seemed clearly...
  25. I'm better today though still symptomatic. I think it was allergic overload. I reacted to my shots this week, and it could be the spring season. I tend to have some seasonal stuff where my shots have to be adjusted suddenly to lower dosages. Also I have been increasing the mold and grass mixes, and the return to a different location may have changed how...
