    Linda, Could you be experiencing gluten ataxia? Have they ever done any MRI's in the search to try and find the reason for your balance problems?     If you have been gluten free for only a week you may want to consider giving the diet a couple of months before any more testing. It does take some time to heal. You may find all your problems have resolved and no more testing is needed.

    I also have had DH show up in unusual places. As a child my arms, legs and face were covered with it and it was thought I somehow kept getting into poison ivy - 12 months out of the year.
