Well that sure doesn't make it easy to make a decision, does it? I don't blame you a bit for being so frustrated!!! Ezra too-- well he does fine if they're good and yellow, but if they're even a little green, forget about it. He'll get terrible diarrhea! -

In the recipe I posted, Lorka's recipe, I do make a couple substitutions as well- I use sorghum instead of the bean flour, and instead of potato starch, I do additional cornstarch. I still haven't tried Juliet's flatbread, I need to do that! I have the recipe saved. -

I couldn't find the eyeliner!!! Bah, I'll have to go back and look again. It took me nearly an hour to choose foundations, lol! I finally chose a medium-light in 3 different categories. I did go with a very light blush. I'm normally a no-makeup person. I wear it only a few times a year. Approaching my 30th birthday, though, and noticing a lot of... -

ARCHIVED My Kids Hate Gluten Free Food

Have you tried this recipe? -- Open Original Shared Link It's the best gluten-free bread I've tried so far. Both my kids like it, even my 4 yr old, who used to be a bread hater. He even hated gluteny bread. He loves this bread, though. I make hamburger buns with it in a muffin-top pan. We also eat sandwiches on the buns. I also make dinner rolls with... -

Good luck braving the mess, Amanda! Around here, they close the schools if it flurries! .... of course, I laugh, but I'm a big wimp when it comes to driving in snow. I used to not mind snows, just ice. But when I was pregnant with Ez, I was driving home from work one night in the snow, and was totally traumatized. Ran off the road (a mountain... -

I saw that, House is one of my favorite shows! That is a really good episode. Rinne and Nyxie, I totally agree that no one should jump into surgery without thinking about alternatives. I myself having been fighting my doctor against back surgery for years now. And I agree that there is no reason to have every little lump and bump removed from your... -

Kassandra, sorry I didn't post in yesterday, but I was thinking of you at 5 o'clock (your 2 o'clock)!!! I'm so glad it's done with! Don't worry about venting!!! It's necessary. Could you remind me-- are they just wanting to remove "Herbie" or are they wanting to remove more than that? Just as another point of view.... I would not think of Herbie... -

I know what you mean! I don't want them up in my yard, but they really are beautiful animals. Supposedly there are a few big cats around here, too... but I'm still undecided as to whether I believe that one. My mother-in-law swears that she's seen one. Every once in awhile we hear strange noises out in the woods and we try to figure out what beastie... -

We have had coyote problems here the past few years, getting worse. They do go after the pets, and even the horses. (We don't have horses, but many neighbors do.) Luckily a couple of our neighbors got a bunch of donkeys, so that has helped a lot around our place. Donkeys scare the crap out of coyotes, and will even attack them. I don't know why, and... -

I think you may be having a reaction to the intravenous contrast material. It's usually Iodine based. Read this: "Are there risks in obtaining a CT scan? A CT scan is a very low-risk procedure. The most common problem is an adverse reaction to intravenous contrast material. Intravenous contrast is usually an iodine-based liquid given in the vein, which... -
ARCHIVED It's Sugar Cookie Time!
Ridgewalker replied to sansglutengrl's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I have this little cage thing that goes in the dishwasher, for baby bottles and sippy cup parts. I put my cookie cutters in it and ran them through the dishwasher 3 or 4 times (with full loads, of course ). I actually trust my plastic ones even more than the metal ones. The plastic ones are a solid piece, whereas the metal ones have a seam. -

Melmelsmom, I was JUST thinking about you this morning. I dropped my son off at school, and your post popped into my head about how hard it is to drop your daughter off in the mornings... seeing her so fragile compared to the other kids. I remembered that and wondered how your daughter is doing. I am so sorry she's still so unwell. My heart goes out... -

Yes, allergies can develop at any time in a person's life. While it's more likely to be something new that's introduced, it can be anything. While you were at Target, did she try on pants or jeans? New clothes have TONS of chemicals on them, and jeans are the worst. Is she having any other symptoms? And how big are the bumps? -

lol, I thought I was just being a wuss, but yeah I agree- Valerian is hideous! Also, make sure to give the nurses/techs/whoever a heads up that you've been known to pass out from fasting. And be vocal if you're getting faint or dizzy. Keep them informed. -
