  1. To me personally, the ads are a minor annoyance at worst. I have gotten WAY too much out of this forum, and also from articles Scott has written, to begrudge him any revenue he might get from the ads. If he'd charged a membership fee to participate on this forum, I wouldn't be here. Not because I wouldn't want to be, but because I don't have the funds...
  2. I actually think the Celiac-green is kind of spiffy, but I am also having trouble with the change. Things aren't where I expect them to be, and it makes my eyes cross! Speaking of Celiac-green, we reeeeally need to band together and organize something in the way of Celiac awareness. You know, all those basics that all the OTHER diseases have. Little rubber...
  3. A little better today. Hubby got home early, and I slept from like 4:30 till midnight. Then got up with Ez, who is throwing up mucous again. Gonna take him back to the doc again today. Then I went back to sleep at about 3, and got a couple more hours before having to get Luke ready for school. So all that sleep helped!
  4. Love the fart poem! There are very few things in this world I find as funny as farts.... Boogers are one of them! Bugar! I admit, the spelling is more consistent, since "sugar" and "booger" rhyme. I just don't think I can make myself write "bugar" though! "Bugar" looks like "bugger" or maybe like "boo-GAR"- same fancy pants accent as Tar-ZHAY of course...
  5. Now why didn't I think of that? I have about 5 canisters of saline and Nasonex from last winter. Excellent suggestion, my friend! I'm gonna get right on that!
  6. Ami, I'm terribly sorry for what you're going through. I'll be thinking about you.
  7. Yup absinthe, sounds like a plan.
  8. Jin is a maybe for Lyme as well.
  9. It came back!!!!!!!!! Now it's gone again.
  10. Oh gawwwd... I think my chronic sinus infections back... ugh, head may explode at any moment... A few minutes ago, I clicked View New Posts (as I do an embarassingly large number of times per day) and suddenly the whole format of the board changed, and it was all green. I clicked it again, and back to normal. I think Scott needs to give us some warning...
  11. That class sounds fun! I bet the paper will be great. Good luck!
  12. Actually that sounds right up my alley! Of course I was an English major, and adore science fiction. Make sure you mention the works of Marion Zimmer Bradley, Andre Norton, and Anne McCaffrey. Nobody contributed more in the way of female characters in sci-fi than MZB. On the opposite end, of course, there's Robert Heinlein's female characters- while...
  13. Question- put dairy aside for a moment- What do you mean, when you say "making my diet more strict?" What does that mean to you? Does that mean you're not very cautious about cross contamination in your home? Or does it mean you eat out a lot? Or does it mean you sometimes cheat a little? Have you not switched to gluten-free cosmetics and cleansers?...
  14. Nice to meet you, Morgan!
  15. omg, you've GOT to be one of Carla's kids. You look just like her!
  16. My older son often gets a fever when he gets glutened, but only low-grade (usually around 99.5.)
  17. Well, now THAT is definitely wacky. . So he's saying you don't need to eat gluten for a blood test, but you do for an endoscopy- but just right before the procedure? This is nonsense. First of all, it takes consistent ingestion of gluten to raise antibody levels and cause intestinal damage. Secondly, what would that prove? That gluten still causes...
  18. Happy Birthday!!!
  19. (((Hugs!))) This is actually one of the few things I don't feel guilty over. Things like this are out of our hands. Try to let go of the things you can't control. I know it's easier said than done. But try. You can make yourself crazy worrying and second guessing yourself. But genetics is one thing that you simply have no control over. Has she never...
  20. Patti, that's exactly what I thought to myself when I read this article! She chose a horse because she could feed it oats? Ridiculous, there's several brands of gluten-free dog food. Not to mention those oats are probably CC'd. I seriously doubt she's feeding him a few pounds of Bob's Red Mill per day. I'm sorry, I feel for this woman, I really do. She...
  21. I'm planning on using Lorka's bread to make stuffing. I'm just going to make it, dry it, and plug them in to my old method. *crossing fingers*
